I live in Southern California and the closest DOC machine I can find is in Milpitas which isn't exactly a stones throw from me. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get an accurate list of locations. Also has anyone else heard about DOC Online? I found it's official page but I can't read Japanese. Any insight on both of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

First off thank you for the welcome. Second Derby Owners Club or DOC is a very large and expensive arcade game made by SEGA and a company called Hitmakers where you breed, train, and race thouroghbreds (sp?). I heard about it on G4 which for those of you who don't know is the video game channel a while ago. I found a machine in Las Vegas, started playing and now I'm hooked. I want to dump more of my hard earned cash into this thing, but the closest machine that I can find is in Milpitas, and I live in southern California (for those not living in California Milpitas is roughly 350 miles from where I live. SEGA Japan is either working on or has already published an online PC version of this game, but I can't find out anything about it because any site with information is in Japanese. I came to SEGA.com to try and findd a closer place.

Isn't there a Dave and Busters closer to you than 300 miles? They have those machines there.

Not sure how close or far you are from Ontario, CA,, but the T/A truckstops on I-10 has them. I believe both the old one and the new one has the game. I know for a fact the newer one has the game. Last I heard, they had the 8 player one.

I know that the Cyberstation in Crossgates mall in Albany, NY has one. It's right behind the Initial D machine that I'm on all the time.

I LOVE this game...I wish they would come out with a home version. A console version on XBox Live would kick serious :):):):) - think of the possibilities! Online horse trading, fully customizable "ESPN Crib"-like stable/farm once you have a bunch of horses, online racing, tournaments, ability to stud out your horses for a fee (in videogame dollars, which you could then use to add cool stuff to your stable), fully customizable silks, etc. etc. etc. - the list is endless.
I guarantee they could make more money in the long run (without undercutting their arcade biz, because half the fun of the arcade version is drinking/racing with strangers) with a home version. They could even make it where your XBox Memory Card (or VMU for us Dreamcast holdouts!) with all your horse data could be used in the arcades to race (so you wouldn't have to carry around a ton of magnetic cards)! I actually suggested this to Sega through their website, and they sent me a really snotty response that said something to the effect of "We don't take user submissions. Why don't you take some programming classes and make the game yourself?" Jeez - sorry for being a fan of your games, Sega!
This needs to come out on the home market. So many people can't play it because it's too far/inaccessible from where they live. And it gets too crowded - if I have to wait to play, I just go do something else (pool, other games). There's a market there if Sega cares to tap it...

 If I thought it would do any good whatsoever, I would! However, Sega is just completely out-of-touch with the home market right now, in my opinion. Dragging their feet on getting DOC to the home market will probably end up costing them, since some other company is just going to come in and bring out a robust online rip-off of DOC to XBox Live or PS2 online (both, if they're smart). I realize they don't want to undercut their arcade sales with a home version, but eventually it's going to happen, whether it's Sega undercutting themselves proactively (although they could minimize their arcade losses by making the home version and arcade version compatible so you could take your memory card or whatever to the arcade with your horses on it to play there) or some 3rd party stealing gamers away. Either way, first good horse racing game on XBox, I'm there. I hope it's DOC, but if not, oh well.

Looks like someone is beating Sega to the punch:

I hate to say I told you so, but... if this game is anything like a home version, online-enabled DOC, I'm so there.

There is one in Gameworks here in Arizona. I'd just say look for the nearest Gameworks, considering Sega owns them all it would make sense that you'd find just about any arcade game made by sega their.
