View Full Version : Info to Help with Making Shortcuts! (v1.3)

Hello everyone. I started this thread so that I could post information I found from friends that taught me, to stuff I have found on my own threw experimentation. If you've ever wondered how to make those cool shortcuts many have which do more then just have words in them, but also a face, and maybe one of the many animations found in the Lobby Menu that are used with X, this thread is for you. I will be updating this Op post many times, and including more info about the commands as they are found. Some of the other UPPA members are also helping me. We need a list of the sound commands. Were working on seeing if you can have a Shortcut that can include the animations, faces and sounds all in one shortcut with whatever you want to say.

So far I have found that you can make a shortcut with the animations, and faces with your message. But I haven't been able to include sound yet. I don't know if its possible. But here is what I know so far.

The Faces are added when you place them in the beginning of the shortcut with an @ symbol. So @0 to @9 are the 10 faces in the game.

The animations are done using the following
/alt0-9
/altf1-12
/alta-z

Now, if you want to include both an animation with a face picture followed by your message, here is an example using one of my own. :)

/altf2@1 Hello

That command will do the female or male Greet animation, followed by the Smile Face 1 picture with your message Hello. I really like shortcuts like this and I been experimenting a lot since then. I have to thank my good friend Annalise for teaching me the basicas and I just took it from there. As far as I know, the /alt commands must ALWAYS go first in a shortcut before the Face or Sound commands. I use to think you needed a space in between them also like this...

/altf2 @1 Hello

But after putting it all together as I have it up top in the beginning I learned the spaces are not required.

Well enough said, let me give you the list of what I have learned, so you folks can start having fun experimenting to make your own cool shortcuts. Have a good time folks, and don't be afraid to let your creativity shine! Good Luck to you all my fellow Guardians! :D

Animation Commands
Note: Credit goes to Spellunker for the info about opposite gender animations. Thanks Spellunker! :D

(Command) (Animations) (Lobby Menu)
(Female/Male) (Tab-Number)

/altf1 = Sit on the ground (1-1)
/altf2 = Greet (1-2)
/altf3 = Wave (1-3)
/altf4 = Happy (1-4)
/altf5 = Clap/Cheer (1-5)

/altw = Laugh (4-6)
/altx = Pick up/Throw (8-1)

/altz = Bow (7-6)

Also with these you can do the opposite gender's animation by adding a 's' before the 'alt'
(The 's' works as Shift or the trigger when using the X menu)

Example as a female character:
/altf3 = Both arms wave (Female)
and
/saltf3 = Single arm wave (Male)

How to Do Colors
Note: Info on abbreviating colors aswell as additional info on colors to expand the list known was provided by E.L.E.C, thanks E.L.E.C! :D

To do colors you have to add in the color command before the text you want changed to said spefic color. I don't know all the colors in the game but here are a few so you get a jist of how its done. IF anyone finds more colors in the game, please let me know and I can then make a list of them all eventually? Thanks in advance. :D

{blue} To change the color of your letters to blue you would do the following.

Example: {blue}Heh, whats up Greg? How's it going?

That will make it so the message typed right after that show all in blue. The color must be in lowercase it seems and it has to be in these kind of brackets { }.

Now if you want to do a post with several colors this would be how it goes.

Example: {green}Mike, come here! {red}Guess {blue}what I made!

That would show (Mike, come here!) in green, then you have to add a space ofcourse for all spaces followed by (Guess) in red, another space, and (what I made!) in blue. I hope you understand this example.
I know the following colors exist, but I'm out of time right now, so I'll add the colors I know for sure as a list with more to come later.

The colors can also be abbreviated to save space. {blue} = {blu}, {green} = {gre}, and {yellow} = {yel}.

Color List

{black} / {bl}
{blue} / {blu}
{green} / {gre}
{grey}
{red}
{orange} / {ora}
{purple} / {pur}
{violet} / {vio}
{white} / {whi}
{yellow} / {yel}

I'n the original demo before launch people made text flash deferent colors. I've yet to see anyone do this in the full game, does anyone know how this was done?

Or did they just make the same text in different colors then spam?

Sorry about that Gir, Frequency, I forgot to add that. I'll make sure to add it right after I fix the list, for some reason its not lining up correctly like I want it to.

Don't forget the color violet. You can add that in there with the {violet} command.

Too bad you can't just hit the alt key or the function keys on a usb keyboard with 360 though.. i think it works that way on pc version..

OK, so far nowhere do I find this info. Not PSOW, PSUPedia, or here. So someone tell me!

When you use cut-in chat (where the face pops up) the default is the face appearing in the top right corner, where the map is, but I've seen people who can make it appear in any of the other positions! How do you do that?!

I think you cant choose that...
Top Right is default,
I think it only goes elsewhere when theres no room top right or maybe its a point of view thing :/

other marcos you did not add in, well one off of the top of my head would be {re}, which is the default text color (the one where it is black in the main chat and white in the party chat). other than that there is nothing off of the top of my head. {re} was not on PSUPedia either.

I was hoping for a guide with game play macros.Example, ''/sl dark 1'' which switches to your dark armor and etc by changing the element name. I have not seen a guide like this or cant find one does anyone know where i can find this or is willing to post some more.
Thanks in advance;)
