Don't bother compensating 065'ers with a SN/G or a lottery chance at it.

Instead, take all their names down. Then when the kill board results come in, cross their name off if they are in the top 500 and got one anyway.

For the rest of that list, keep it safe. Then, should they find a "real" one in the future, allow them to trade that for a /G version. One-time only, then cross them off the list.

If they're essentially the same weapon it shouldn't matter, right? And finding a real needle will probably be a lot of work.

Lol...I'm SURE you know the "/G" means its a weaker model yes?

I doubt anyone will even keep the SN/G once they have the real one in there hands ( if ever... ).

...I hope this is just a joke...Please let it be a joke...

1) We actually don't know it's weaker. /G is not /C.
2) If it is weaker though, there'd be even less of a problem with this, right?

lol at all the people presuming /G will be weaker.

Technically even /C items arent weaker in a way, when you grind a Twin Varista and a Twin Varista / C to +10 the Twin Varista has more ATP but the Twin Varista / C has more PP so to some people it would be a better weapon.

Anyone who whines that /G is weaker is just jealous/annoyed that they wont be getting one.

Bad idea. The /G version is special, allowing an exchange like that will devalue it. The people that do get in the top 500 deserve to have this unique item so don't take it away like that.

How about a Spread Needle/065 instead?

Hence making it a one-time deal for the people who were 065'd only, and requiring a full item that will be rare in itself and appear 9 months down the line long after everyone else stopped caring.

The only people who'd actually go through with this are the people that really wanted a SN/G from the get-go. If this miraculously happened, they would absolutely never let this thing leave their possession once they got it. Because of this, the "extra" /Gs would never enter the market, and thus no devaluation would happen.

This wouldn't take the item away from them. :|

Lol, what? So someone who works hard and got knocked out of the race while being in the 500 shouldn't get a stupid weapon because they TOTALLY didn't deserve it, really.

Not sure what you're saying.

People in the top 500 usually spam C runs at level 100+...

You could hope that sega made SN/G so we could get the kill count , and only hope they made it weaker in some way
