As the morning sun shone out over Ohtoku mountain and bathed the city in its light, a single Newman stood at the bridge opposite the Communions’ HQ and stared at the mountain. The entire city, besides him, lay dormant and the only thing moving was the gentle breeze that calmly brushed its way through.
At the peak of the mountain was the fix of his gaze, a single Cast stood and looked down upon the city, it was Magashi. Neither moved, each others gazed stayed fixed on the other until Magashi grinned his usual grin and a Illuminus ship descends from the clouds and covers the city in shadows.
“That’s…..that’s all, after that I wake up. I’m not sure if it’s an omen or something but I’ve been having that dream frequently since the Illuminus’ attack on the colony”
Laia folds her arms and looks over at Maya, they both turn round at start mumbling to each other.
After a while they turn round, Laia remains silent with her arms folded and Maya paces towards me.
“Well, you have been on constant call since then, so maybe your just stressed. Me and Laia agree that you should take a leave of absence until you feel refreshed. No one deserves it more than you, just leave the new HIVE to us, ok?”
My first day on leave since the Illuminus attack and I can’t help but feel uneasy, I’m out here relaxing in Ohtoku city while all the Guardians are off fighting the Illuminus. I stop on the bridge, my heart pounds faster, it……it can’t be…..it’s not……
I look up at Ohtoku mountain and there at the top was the unmistakeable figure of Magashi.
It’s all happening, its all coming true. The shape of an Illuminus ship appears in the clouds and then the hull drops through, covering the city in darkness. I nanotrance my Creadoubles into my hand and make my way up the Shitenkaku, now infested with the Illuminus Cast troops.
Each one fell like leaves in autumn and each time I felt I was getting closer. I finally reached the Halls of Divination, the highest room within the Shitenkaku, and was greeted with Magashi’s face, ginning his sadistic grin.
“I’m so glad you could make it. I was worried my welcome party would be too much for you.”
I clenched my sword tighter and walked into the room.
“But I needn’t have worried, one such as you shouldn’t have no trouble dealing with weakling copies. And like predicted, our number one has proved his strength yet again”
A look fitting of someone confused crossed my face
“You mean……Hahahahaha…..this is too much!”
As Magashi laughed mechanically, he blinked and when he reopened his eyes he was face to face with me, my sword ran through his chest plate.
“Proven……*cough*……yet again……”
