I figure people want to know and it is official and it's out SO IT'S NOT AGAINST THE RULES. I didn't want a million threads popping up and didn't want to pm people
http://trial.sega-pspdl.jp/PSP.zip
This is from the official website. After sifting through text you can find it on a clickable button and I just pasted the link. Any problems with the link you can post them here.
Here's a tutorial on what you do, for dummies
Preliminary checklist
1) Have a memory stick duo for the psp(that can hold 301+ mg. You can buy a 2 gig one at many electronic stores. Get something that has "duo" on it.)
2) Have a psp /facepalm
3) Have the psp<>computer attachment (a cord that helps the psp communicated with the computer. Comes with the psp I believe.
4) Have a computer and zee internetz -_x
5) Have an extracting program (winzip but many computers have something)
6) A bunch a obvious things that I don't care to post.
7) For the English version, a Playstation Network Account (free to make)
---Tutorial for English version---
1) Log into the Playstation network via psp or ps3. If you need an account, you can make one by clicking here >> http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/SignUp
2) Search for demos (psp section) and download it.
3) If you download it via psp, the game will download and install and be ready to play on completion. Takes about 15-20 minutes.
4) I've not done it via ps3 but from what my sources tell me, you end up saving the data on the ps3 and can transfer it to the psp in much the same way you transfer data to and from the psp to and from the computer.
5) Enjoy the game in english.
-----The tutorial for the Japanese version----
1) Download the zip file that I provided. (takes a while but not too long depending on the connection)
2) Create a folder exactly named "ULJM91014" in all caps on your desktop or an easy to find place.
3) Extract contents to a place you can find easily.
4) Move the extract files "EBOOT.PBP" and "file.fpb" (that largest file) into the folder mentioned in #2.
5) Have you psp on hand, turn it on, use the communication wire to usb connect to the pc and put the folder (which it's new files from #4) into the "Game" folder that is inthe "psp" parent folder.
6) End the communication of the psp to the computer, go into the "Memory Stick" icon under the "Games" section in the psp and if you did everything else correctly you should see a the game symbol and press X to play.
Hope it helps.
Good job with this.

I need some help please.
I bought my PSP for Sonic Rivals and the two Sonic Rivals are the only games I play on it. So apparently my system is version 3.52 (which must have come from Sonic Rivals 2)
To start Phantasy Star Universe I need Version 3.95
Any idea where I could get that? Keep in mind that I don't have a wireless router at the moment, mine is wired, so I can't connect my PSP online like that. Is there a place I could download version 3.95 and put it on my PSP with the USB cord?
Thanks ^_^
If it can't be download, anybody can tell me a name of a game that this version would come with? This way I could rent that game at the video store just for the updated system version LOL
EDIT: Nevermind Ifigured it out. If anyone else come accross the same trouble, here's a link to the playstation portable website with how to update the system version
http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP/About/SystemUpdate/pc.html
EDIT:And to the OP, you may want to fix the folder name. It has to be name ULJM91014 <--- Don't forget the M in there or it won't work you will get some kind of error message

I got a PSP over the weekend and saw this thread so I quickly snatched it up. What's all of this about making a folder on your pc? I simply downloaded the zip then extracted the folder to my memory stick. Like this:
-----The tutorial----
1) Download the zip file that I provided. (takes a while but not too long depending on the connection)
2) Have your psp on hand, turn it on, use the communication wire to usb connect to the pc and extract the folder into the "Game" folder that is in the "psp" parent folder.
3) End the communication of the psp to the computer, go into the "Memory Stick" icon under the "Games" section in the psp and if you did everything else correctly you should see a the game symbol and press X to play.

Yeah I would do an alternative section but I don't own a ps3. My roommate does but I bet it would be something like
1. Go the ps Store
2. Find and download game
3. Play

I tried to download the English demo last night, but for some reason, it wouldn't go through and said that there wasn't enough memory on my memory stick. The demo requires something like 273 mb of memory. I cleared up some space and had more than enough, and it still won't go, can anyone help me out?

You have a 2 gig memory stick (duo)? I would say a minimum of 301 mbs and space for whatever update is necessary to run it (if any) is required. Perhaps you were updating and ran out of space. Probably a simple matter that you solved already.

I did have to do an update on the software(version 5.03) but that was just so I could access the playstation store. My memory stick duo doesn't have much capacity, 468 MB, with 335MB free space. It's frustrating, I wanna play -_-
I know I'm able to DL demo's cuz I downlaoded the 59mb batman demo just to be sure.

If you have a PS3 it makes everything easier. you can download anything from PSN on PS3 and just transfer it to PSP.

Can I play multi mode with other people? Do I have to do it through LAN (which isn't going to happen) or can I just not play with other people?
Samui

You can play multi mode by yourself, with NPCs, on a lan, or tunneled through adhoc Party or XLink Kai.
There is no built-in online mode, however.

You need system version 6.10 to play the PSP2 demo, I had to upgrade from 5.03(It wasn't even letting me access PSN to make an account until I updated it from 5.50 to 6.20.) The game seems nice, however, the price tag is way too steep for a portable game. It'll run you around 70$ after shipping, and I havn't been able to find it cheaper online. I don't really want to buy it via DLC either because I heard it limits you to play it only on the one profile, similar to XBL DLC, and i hate that. I do wonder how much of the DLC is free and how much is pay to DL though, like the EVA plugsuits, missions, etc. I'm not one to pay 10 bucks for one mission, or one in game outfit either. Also, I was told you need an online code to play the game online if you buy the umd, so guys, please don't buy it used, and no you can't play "Multiplayer Ad Hoc with CFW...but lets not go there, let's just leave it at "No, you can't play this online via CFW, at all, been there...tried that...had my friends legitimate UMD used the install option etc."
