I have the Japanese Version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for DS. Now my brothers and I got the Japanese Version month's before it came out in the states, and THAT one had Wifi play (Though we couldn't get it to work for some reason) And I noticed that once FFCC came to the states translated and all, the Wifi mode was Missing! I'm pretty sure that game says something like "ESRB warning gameplay chnages online" when you turn it on, but then you find no Wifi mode! Only reason I can think of why they didn't implement Wifi in the US version but they did with the japanese version, is because the translators and guys making it work for the US must've got lazy or something. Now, we all know how PSU has tons of names and phrases that really don't make much sense or sound weird because they were lost in translation. Imagine if it the same lazy translators were to do the same for PS0 on DS?! Though, it is a bit unlikey, it happend to FFCC. What if it happens to PS0 to?

FFCC:RoF has Wifi in both versions, the Japanese version is displayed after certain events as well as the english version.
Both versions allow for the same task of moogle trading, that's all - there is no play outside of that.

I'm quite sure that the Japanese version of FFCC: RoF let's you play on wifi with other players while the other versions do not. If I'm wrong, is there some kind of proof you can give me? I have both Versions

Proof?
Just google it, I'm on my PS3 so I can't copy paste URL's maybe tommorow when I'm on a PC.
You can play local wifi but the wfc is for mog trading, I remember the developers saying that in the same breath as them talking about moving on the FFCC:CB.
I'll find it for you tommorow, I remember making a thread about it in another forum.

Dude, you need to research better because not only is that barely even an official review but I also have the Japanese and US (or European) versions of the games.
Check these out.

Read the "Cons" part below the video.

"Our problem with the multiplayer stems from the fact that it's multi-card only and there's no online play, which is a real disappointment. How likely is it that you and three others, who all own a DS and a copy of the game, will get to play together? A rare occasion indeed we reckon. Online co-op would have raised the enjoyment factor no end."
Thats just the tip of the iceberg. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

dib8rman is right though... Both the Japanese and English versions only have Moogle trading as their online feature. There is absolutely no online co-op multiplayer in either version. I know because I was following Japanese news about this game closely, but once I found out that the online feature was Moogle trading, I decided not to waste my money on the eventual English release.
If you want some proof just look at NCSX's listing for the Japanese version.

They're a trusted import shop that plays the games they sell in order to provide information for their product write-ups. Notice how all they list as an online feature is the Moogle Exchange. Or maybe you could get someone who knows Japanese to help you out with your import version so you can see it for yourself. I mean c'mon... why do you need proof when you have the game? It's right there!
Anwyays I doubt Sega would remove online support from this game. They may not have the best translators ever, but I don't think that has any bearing on whether or not to remove online functionality. Plus word of this game has already spread across the net, and when it arrives in America I'm sure people will be expecting to be able to hop online and play it with their friends. If they suddenly couldn't, I'd imagine they'd be pretty angry.

Thanks Evilia,
And yes I was being lazy with that link, I had about 3 other people request similar back up and you were the 4th. >.> Sorry. The developer has a website dedicated to this game, if I had the time I would just go to the forum I posted it and find that post, but again I'm lazy. But on that website they directly state that online functions are for moogle trading.
