Can't retrieve information from live

Well at the moment i am trying to purchase a new guardian license because i have previously cancelled my subscription around June. But as of fight now i'm using a new CC and it's a prepaid CC. But, whenever i try to purchase guardian license it states that i cant retrieve infomation from xbox live. Can anyone give me an explanation of why this is so?

You'll have to check with Microsoft on this one, they run Xbox live and can troubleshoot your problem. Give them a call at 1800-4MY-XBOX.

I believe someone said in a similar thread that prepaid cards can't be used anymore. I could be wrong though.

I have and use a pre-paid debit card. Use these steps:

-When you go to buy a license, make sure your current card is selected in the "payment options" (something like that) option.

-Make sure you have a few dollars over the $9.99 fee on your card, because tax is included.

-Check your debit card account online to see if you have any pending charges.

If those options fail, call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX

did you have to register the pre paid card online? because this is a store purchased gift visa card and it says before making purchases please register online which he did. Still not working.
