I remember this game was in alot of arcades when i first came to this country up notrth. From the 1st to the 4th one. My favorite was the second one. SNK games were great.

Erm no offence, but what the hell does Metal Slug have to do with anything apart from snk :?

I said part one because I never got to learn the moves for pt. 2 but I still had a good time with that one also.
3+4 I didnt really see that much of in the arcades.

BECAUSE you little :):):):)...
snk machines always put samurai showdown in the same machine as metal slug and you had to press the yellow button in the center to switch between games
and there were always the SM kids and the MS kids

That's not always, you get dedicated Samurai Showdown cabinets, that's the whole Idea with having multi cart MVS systems and single cart MVS systems :P

I hate to say that when I was younger, there was only one arcade with 2D games, and I didnt go there a lot. I think the arcade game I've played the most is Puzzle Bobble 2 (the arcade near me had a KOF/Puzzle Bobble 2/Samurai Showdown machine... drool). They also had UN Squadron and After Burner.
Anyways, I've never gotten the chance to play Metal Slug in the arcade, but I like Samurai Showdown. Its nice and slow paced, kind of like a 2D Bushido Blade. A Bushido Blade game with Kill Bill characters would be awesome :D

i loved

mortal kombat 2,1,3
killer instinct
tekken
and some shooter i 4get the name
its a short list but i played the heck out of 'em
