Hey everyone,

We've just announced that SEGA of America is going have community presence at this year's Tokyo Game Show! On Monday, I fly out to Japan to prep for the show, visit the SEGA Japan offices, and explore the country.

As an added bonus, we're also giving you guys an inside connection to some of the developers in Tokyo - I'll be doing interviews with the SEGA dev teams behind Valkyria Chronicles, Phantasy Star Zero, and with Tri-Ace, who are creating their first game ever for a publisher besides Square-Enix: the beautiful and cinematic Resonance of Fate.

You can post your questions either in this thread or here on the official blog post (http://blogs.sega.com/usa/2009/09/18/were-going-to-tokyo-sega-tgs-09/) - I'll grab as many questions as I can and will include them when I get to sit down with the teams.

Hope you guys have an excellent weekend! Enjoy all the new skins from this week, and keep your eyes peeled for tons of coverage on the blogs starting next Tuesday.

Will Phantasy Star Zero be compatible with the Nintendo DSi?

Will Phantasy Star Zero be compatible with the Nintendo DSi?
I can answer that: of course, like every other DS game is compatible on the DSi...

Ask them if an HD enhanced version, retail or download, is a posibility, I love the game, but I hate playing on handhelds :D

Will there be any enhancements for the western version?
The controls were pretty horrible in the JP version.

Will promotional weapons such as game magazines and Nintendo items (Samus' Power Beam etc.) appear in the US version of PS0? Will it use passwords like the JP version?

Any plans to return to or expand the PS0 mythos in the future? Perhaps on consoles?

Finally, since the PS0 team has now been absorbed into the PSP2 development team - assuming that PSP2 gets a release outside of Japan: is it planned for PSP2's internet multi mode to be cross-regional? Or will the Japanese version of PSP2 only be able to play with other players playing the Japanese PSP2?

1. Is there interest within Sega to remake Phantasy Star (1 to 4) in the future or even make a new Phantasy Star game with the turn based battle system the classics had?

2. After Phantasy Star Zero and Portable 2, what plans do you have for Phantasy Star in the future?

3. How possible will it be to have DLC and updates to the online in Phantasy Star Zero? (I'm guessing impossible due to Nintendo WFC's limits)

Big thanks, RubyEclipse :D

Are you working on the next online version of Phantasy Star? PSU is failing miserably over here in the U.S. and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.

PSZ Team Questions, the question I want asked the most is bolded:

"We know the art style of PSZ was changed in order to aim for a younger audience but why did you choose to enlist Toshiyuki Kubooka specifically? Does SEGA have a relationship with him because of his past work on the Mega CD and Sega Saturn or is it because of another reason? Also, will we see him working on future SEGA products?"

"Now that the team is working on PSP2 how are you bringing the unique skills and experience from working on PSZ to PSP2?"

"Chao gardens are no longer seen in Sonic games and a lot of SEGA fans really miss them. Could you add them to future Phantasy Star games but with Mags instead? Or some kind of pet system that could be used in players' rooms."

"What are your future plans for the PC/PS2 and Xbox 360 versions of Phantasy Star Universe? Can we look forward to a new expansion based on the content of Phantasy Star Portable 2?"

"Could you add more 80's era anime designs as an option when making a character in future games? Specifically ones more in line with the original Phantasy Stars and one's like in Bubblegum Crisis or Dirty Pair?"

RubyEclipse, THANK YOU for letting us suggest questions. :)

Ask them what the heck the new type "Braver" in PSP2 is supposed to be. Or you could just play the PSP2 demo there and tell us pretty much everything about it.

- Does this appeal to the PSO fanbase more than the PSU fanbase?
- Does the game have many hours of gameplay that can be sunk into it as far as obtaining rare weapons is concerned?
- Does the difficulty of the game live up to ultimate mode in PSO?
- Will the game feature DLC support for the West (or in general?)
- How many hours can the average gamer expect to put into the main story?
-Should I (Ruby) get a promotion for all my hard work? XD

-do you think PSZ will bring the glory of playing online with everyone around the world,as it did with PSO?
