I think having locked games in a collection is a horrible idea.
And suggesting someone to buy the game again even though he already have it in a collection, is an even more horrible idea. Why should one be forced to buy a game twice to play it?
Phantasy Star is an amazing game. I don't mind paying for another copy of the game for the updated current console systems. My old original copy was probably thrown out by my father years ago, along with my Master System. But why do they expect or make a person who bought their product, go out and buy a second controller just so he or she can activate a game? Is Sega in the pockets of MS? I am slightly joking with that comment, however I do not understand why they would do this at all let alone Phantasy Star which still has a decent following. Many people, I would suspect, who want to relive their old SMS days with the great Phantasy Star would be interested in buying this collection. But is PHANTASY STAR even advertised as being in this collection? I don't believe it is.
Why SEGA will not release a version of Phantasy Star on XBOX LIVE is beyond me. They could even fluff it up with improving the graphics or why not release a PS bundle which has 1 thru 4 via XBOX Live. I am sorry but SEGA needs to wake up. There are enough PHANTASY STAR users/lovers that still want to relive or some who have heard of the game that want to experience it for the first time.
Note to SEGA: PLEASE RELEASE a PHANTASY STAR BUNDLE FOR XBOX LIVE
This leads me to the idea that SEGA themselves are sitting on a GOLD mine of potential great games with title franchise's like Phantasy Star series, SHINOBI and Golden Axe.
Why not make a Shinobi or Golden Axe RPG?
WAKE UP SEGA!
