Do you mute your mikes?

For a long time I have listened to most likely personal conversations over Xbox Live, and it made me wonder how many people actually mute their mikes.

Most of the time, I talk alot when I'm on CH live but I mute when I'm not saying anything that the players need to hear. I really don't like it when the mic channel is so full of heavy sounding breathing that it sounds like some kind of strange orgy.

if im talking to one person i go to private chat so other people can talk but if theres 3 or 4 of us the other 1 to 3 people could stay, mute us, us mute them, or they could leave because they dont want to talk

I mute my mic if I'm going to choff sneeze or sniff as well speak to someone in the same room as me. No one need to hear any of that.

My 360 mic broke so I'm using my original xbox mic. No mute button.
When I have a mute button I use it all the time
