Well, I didn't think I'd say this, but after seeing all these doomy paranoia threads versus the actual (brief) gameplay trailer, I think I'm agreeing with AAUK as well.

I still maintain both sides have their elitists who refuse to compromise or deal with criticism. This whole event around the game just brought out a bit of both extremes.

To everyone over the age of 18 complaining about them using modern Sonic's design in Sonic 4 instead of his "classic" design: How would you like it if suddenly everyone said you looked cooler when you were 9 and your parents undid your hormonal changes?

Go look at a calendar or hover over the time on your computer's screen. It's 2010, not 1991, and it will never be that year again.

I haven't heard or read any complaints about the eye colour. If anyone who has complained about it is reading this: get a grip!

We should all be focusing on the real issues: the horrible running/jumping animation and lack of spinny legs.

I think they just need to make him a little bit taller.

From the initial logo, to classic Sonic sprites being at the top of these forums, to the short "Happy Hedgehog Day!" video (which uses S4 music with the classic Sonic design). Things like that left the impression that the classic Sonic design was going to be used. That's why people are mad. They were expecting something and they didn't get it. I personally don't care much. His running animation on the other hand... that's a different story...
