View Full Version : A Parts Question?

I really don't want to play through ten hours of campaign to get the best parts, but I know you can download parts on the marketplace. Is it possible to buy all the unlockable parts from the campaign on Marketplace, or are certain campaign parts only available via campaign?

No. You're out of luck. It is called 'unlockable', not 'you can buy it if 'you're lazy' for a reason...

Or, "you can buy it if you're lazy or super rich".

The parts you BUY on marketplace are different then the parts you BUY in the multiplayer mode. So yes you will have to play the single player to unlock the parts and yes you will have to gather up money in multiplayer to unlock more parts after that.
Because you said you are too lazy play through the single player Im nominating you as the first person who comes into these forums and posts a stupid question after the game launches.

The problem is, you have to beat the missions perfectly ( a Grade S ) to get all the parts in singleplayer.
I'm nearly through, but the heavy gunner missions are just rough as hell.
peace.

Good, then no one will have to worry about having some unmotivated, no load, underachiever on their squad when the heat hits the meat.

honestly, without playing the campaign, i don't think you're going to get the experience you need to survive. you should take this time to develop some skills. Once us crazy americans get this game, its on like donkey kong.

It depends on your skill. I've finished all of the missions in 16 hrs, but am still only on 85% complete. That because I have to go back and retry missions to get S rank. That could take me another 16 hrs play
You can buy parts online which are useable in Online Play. The parts you buy online are not available in Singler player mode.
Personally, I don't see the point in buying a game like this if you aren't willing to put the effort into it to unlock good parts. Maybe its best if you stick to games that have a 'Cheat Menu' in the options list

i heard Tarakia was completly taken over. Thats because those damn Japanese aren't very good gamers. Once America gets it The Hell Hounds are going to conquer all and bath those Japanese in firey doom. Think of it as the next hiroshima

you know from the way technolegy is advancing ww3 just might be fought from an arm chair useing remote controled vehicles and weapons and games like this just might be the training simulators of the future

Right, but you're missing the point. Point: No need to be offensive on a game forum over a video game. The racial slur and reference to hiroshima were rather unnecessary. No doubt thats the kind of trash talking that gives Americans a bad name.(which was already referred to in another thread, that once americans get a game the online community goes sour, I tend to agree, and I'm american.)
Though back on topic, I'm rather looking forward to mucking about in the campaign to get the mechanics of weapons fire, hound manueverability(testing different 'bases' with different weapon loadouts) and, of course, unlocking as much free junk as I can for my hounds.
