You will not deny the real fans Yakuza 4 because you are an undesexed nerd for whom the hostess sim cancellation is a deal breaker.

Maybe if Y3 sells well (and this is in your hands) we will get Y4 with no cuts.

We need to play ball with the company and be thankful they are going out on the limb to bring this out in the first place... We support this and good things will come..

Grown up men buy this game for its art; they know Yakuza has a vibe and atmosphere all of it's own. Man up and start playing games like a big boy.

Not putting anyone down.. start acting Like a Dragon.. Go to a strip bar and give a girl $20 and you can have the same experience.. all the sudden the dating sim with mostly ugly girls isn't that appealing or interesting.

And what are you basing your assumption that Yakuza 4 would suffer no cuts in the localization process on?

Logic would dictate that since Yakuza 1&2 were released here with hostess clubs, with shogi and mahjong, and with massage parlors, Yakuza 3 should be as well. That wasn't the case was it?

Also, your comments are pretty inflammatory - assuming that an individual most be some sort of sexual deviant or undersexed to be interested in the cut content. Bravo, you just proved SoA's point...

Acting like a Dragon? He was the one hanging out it such joints. Grown up men can also spell competently.

Grown up men buy the game for its art? I hope not because once they get a load of the cover, they will turn away.

I'm sorry, bro, but I won't buy a butchered game when the complete version is out somewhere else. There are other good games to buy this March, and most games didn't have its content cut off just for the sake of "meeting a deadline" or "not culture friendly."

Since you're apparently a masochist, I'd wager that you're still a fan of the Sonic series. :)

Grown men don't waste their money on partial products. They have the discipline to hold their cash until a company releases a complete product.

No, if Y3 does well despite the cuts, we'll get Y4 with even more cuts. Maybe some of the stuff you like will still be there, maybe not. Who knows?

Oh, and trying to insult people trying to stand up for keeping a game whole will get you nowhere.

No bro, grown up men won't just play ball with companies who are screwing them over and turn over the other cheek. It's pretty naive to think that by supporting this decision by SEGA good things will come out of it. Nah, I'd rather take a stand and fight, I picked an imported copy which has all the vibe and atmosphere your neutered copy will lack.

Not quite, if it sells really well sega could take it as saying the cuts helped overall sales and do the same thing with Y4, hopefully there will be a sweet spot of sales in witch sega will still deem Y4 profitble enough to be brought over, but not worth cutting

Yeah, the concept that if we support the cuts in this game by purchasing it, Sega is more likely to release an unedited sequel is a akin to saying, "Well, if I let the bully beat me up, maybe he won't do it again."

Isn't it kinda sad that companies like BioWare/EA offer their loyal fans MORE content when buying a new game and that Sega has decided to do the exact opposite?

First, blue text is a pain to read given the background color in this forum.

Second, Yakuza 4 won't come out without cuts if this sells well. SEGA will just take as implicit support for their current practices. ie.

Bayonetta PS3 is the worst port in 2 years. Post patch, I guess it ties Ghostbuster for worst port in 2 years. Game sells well. Surely they will put more effort in future products.

AvP demo hits, matchmaking is broken. Game sells well. Surely they will put more effort in.

Resonance of Fate gets a half dub and Yakuza 3 has content cut. Surely, if we buy it they will ... come on, how can anyone still believe this?

SEGA isn't going to put out anything more than a second rate ports/localizations. It is really would you like to continue to receive hack jobs (either in performance or content) or nothing at all?

Personally I'd rather put my support behind games and companies that don't put me in that predicament.

Are you kidding? I'm assuming that your a adult too but your post sure doesn't make it look like it. (no offense)

First the blue color of the text.. (why , simply why?) and secondly. Why would you call those people nerds? Not to mention that you call those woman ugly.. who in their right mind would do that? (-_-);

Anyway, on to the topic. Its not about it being content that is about woman or puzzles. Its about cutting content.

You wouldn't like it if you bought a pizza but only got like 4 of the normally 6 pieces. You wouldn't wanna pay for those 4 pieces knowing that you should be receiving 6 instead.

The general idea is that cutting content is a downright bad thing. The content was in the original release and there is no reason what so ever that could justify it. Unless it was a money problem. In which case I wouldn't mind donating some money to Sega and give them a few months more just to make sure that we receive the exact same game as the people in Japan.

Both those things that were mentioned are part of the culture. And if your interested in the Yakuza games than chances are that your also interested in the culture. So why would you accept it that they take out content that actually interests you? Not to mention that I have seen already plenty of people on this forum saying that they spent several hours with those things in the previous two games.

So saying that this content wouldn't matter is a lie. As for Sega's blog post. They said that they had either the chance to bring it over to the West or not release it at all. And seriously, why the change all of a sudden? First they tell us that its a simple culture problem and now they go all rambo saying that they wouldn't be able to release it with this content.

Where does that come from? I doubt that they would really run into problems with tiny puzzles or hostess bars. They had those in the previous games so it can't be that. Simply put, there is no possible reason that I could accept as a excuse.

Its pretty obvious they only said culture because they didn't want to look even cheaper............
