Alright guys I got a good idea, lets give Sega MORE money so they can make MORE new Sonic games.

Alright i'm not the smartest person but. WTF. How the heck can you judge something solely based on character model and like a 10 second video? Have you played it? No you haven't. Well honestly, it really doesn't matter, everyone could buy Sonic 1, Sega would sick back and laugh their ***** off, because when the release Episode 2, everyone will buy Sonic 2. And they will still make money regardless.

I'm not trying to insult anyones belief but it seems ignorant as hell to buy Sonic 1, giving sega more money.

Anyway no SEGA won't make money if you buy Sonic 1, you would be buying from someone who bought it before (2nd hand) SEGA would get no money out of it. (Unless SEGA still secretly makes Sonic 1 Genesis/Mega Drive cartridges 'till today.)

Well, I think it's more of their goal that doesn't make sense. I'm not sure what they want to accomplish. They clearly DON'T want Sega to go under; they want the company to keep making money, just not with games they don't approve of. This movement would be a very powerful one if they wanted Sega to do something like... I don't know... focus on reissuing old games instead of producing new ones at all? But Sega has already reissued old games, over and over, so I don't know what their point is.

Any thread's better then sonic 4321 complaining about the homing attack for the umpteenth time and jackie flan doing the same, i'll get flammed but why can't the mods sticky a particular topic for that instead of some users making the same ole same old thread all over again (not this one ofc) i meant the complaining topic or whatever, it's getting annoying seeing 100 odd pages about why this will fail for some .

If they wanted a good petition why not say "Buy Super Mario Bros 1/2/3/World on Sonic 4's release day?" That might make Sega a little irritated that their *ahem* x-competitor made a lot more money then they did on Sonic 4's day. But hey, why not buy a game that almost 3/4 of Sonic fans already own? Sounds like a fool-proof plan! :D except for the part where foolish people thought of it. o_O

That was a question everyone was asking during the crapstorm that happened immediately after the game was announced. Footage was leaked around the week of April Fool's Day, though, containing complete runs of almost (all of them minus one, which cut out partway through) every act of every zone. Plus one Special Stage and all bosses. There's quite a lot to judge from now, despite the fact that the player happened to suck pretty badly part of the time.

I kinda wish there wasn't those leaks. I was actually having fun with all those ignorant complaints. Now all of the usual suspects know enough about the game. :( I haven't seen too many of the leaks but from what I hear some things seems unfair (those gimmick acts) to actual worries (homing/jump dash). I'm very open minded (loved Rush, nuff said) so it doesn't effect me but I wonder how others fair now since the early days of the announcement.
