Ok... how the hell did "We couldn't do SU 360 on the Wii" and then we get Sonic Colors with beautiful levels and the SAME boost thing and huge levels!

Perhaps they just assumed the Hedgehog Engine couldn't work on the Wii without actually trying it? It's more likely that it's not running on the Hedgehog Engine but rather some neat graphical tricks are being pulled...just like the old days...

Well, hedgehogs are a burrowing species, if I'm not mistaken...

The Hedgehog Engine is a graphics rendering engine. It has nothing to do with how the game plays and handles, its most worthwhile contribution to gameplay is to allow the levels to load seamlessly at high speeds without load times for massive distances.

The difference between Unleashed Wii and Colors is that Unleashed Wii was a half-baked throwaway budget alterative game meant to ride off the hype and adverts for the PS3/360 version, whilst Colors is a full-scale Wii title made to stand on its own two legs, with all the budget and development polish it deserves. Hence why the gameplay engine no longer sucks eggs.

The Hedgehog Engine is also used for transitioning 2D and 3D gameplay.

It's for doing it seamlessly but they don't need it to go from 3D to 2D.

I'm actually glad the wii didn't get the 360 version of SU. The wii version was just more fun.

I don't know...the posibility of diging at some places to reach other paths doesn't make it much linear to me

...
No it wasn't. It wasn't even close. The level design on the Wii version was so plain and boring compared to the PS360 version.

True.but The 360 version still suffered from actually being too fast but had awesome design, this game is awesome design with a managable speed but faster than the wii.

No, the Wii version was tons fun.

I own both, they are equally fun. The level design on the 360 is hold forward and boost, so is the Wiis.

You do realise the Wii version and 360 version of of SU were pretty similar.
