View Full Version : Think my Shenmue game is ruined, PLEASE HELP

I already beat the game once back in the day, now I'm just trying to beat it again so I can play the sequel for the first time on Xbox. I'm at the point where I've done the dreaded forklift job for 7 days (!) and I need to find Tony & Smith who know more about the deal going down involving Lan Di. Problem is I can't find them anywhere. The journal says they hang out near the cafeteria and I believe only at night but I've looked all over and can't find them. I think the actual dialogue about them said the "lounge" not the cafeteria but that area is restricted anyways. What the hell am I supposed to do? Thanks.

Most of us love the game, and a lot of us love Ocarina of time but that dosnt mean we memorize trivial things like that on a regular basis...for the most part anyway.

The Tony and Smith thing is supposed to occur while you're working. There should be a cutscene once you get to the cafeteria area.

There is a glitch that can happen that can prevent the game from progressing at this point. It happened to a friend of mine.

All events that occur to you in the harbor (except the nighttime ones) happen to you while you're working. Make sure when you're doing your job that day that you're driving past the harbor cafeteria.

You might have to restart from the beginning...seriously, there is a glitch that causes the game not to progress from that point. Most guides on the internet have the way to bypass the glitch, all it takes is to take a certain path to the warehouse...check those guides out.

Thanks to those that actually helped. As for the rest, I did check GameFAQs and came up with nothing. There was one bug they addressed in the harbor but it was different from this.
