i am confused about alliances
if you have them 2 green flags that means that when you click join on another player your asking them to join your alliance and when theres no green flag it means the opposite right?

The green flags in the ranking screen just mean that they are actively recruiting. If there are no flags then they are not looking to recruit, this doesn't mean that they need the flags up to recruit though.

but when i have the green flag i am asking them to join me right?
and when there isnt a flag your joining theres?
just wanna know as someone tried to add someone to their alliance but instead they join the other persons alliance. so he tried toget out of the alliance and all his data got removed

There's no way to send invites as far as I know. Our only option is to have the person request an invite and then the leader will choose to accept or decline.
This someone you mentioned lost all his building structures cause he left by clicking Abandon (even though the button clearly states abandon and all the negative effects it has if you don't request to leave).
So the point of this? Don't click abandon unless you intend to restart.

I dont have a clue how you're interpreting it.

Think of it this way:
"Ohh i want more people to apply for my alliance, so I'll show that i'm recruiting" That's what having the green flags mean.

It's just a sign saying you want more in your alliance, nothing else.
