Not too bad, these requirements are slightly higher than Mass Effect 2 requirements, PSO2 should look nice graphically. :>

DirectX 10 would have been nice to see. 7800GT is not very high-end at all, so let's hope we get some recommended specs soon. Also would be nice to see the specs mention some ATI cards (I do not like nVidia).

Well, having an actually high end card on the minimum specs would be kinda...hmm...scary to see.
Having a mid-low end card on the minimum specs is a good thing for me, it means that it's possible that I might be able to run it at max settings, or close to max. :>

As someone who also dislikes nvidia, I agree that it would be nice to see AMD cards on the requirements (and also AMD CPUs). :P

I hope they don't tone that down more so they can get more sales. If anything they should do more to step up the video requirements and have some software switch to allow users to tone it down if they are getting <20 frames a second.

If these are really the minimum requirements, these are most likely the requirements to run the game at the lowest graphical settings.

Well these specs look good. I'm kinda not liking the ATI recommendation. I'd say the HD space is kinda low. Considering this is an Alpha they probably left a ton of room for title updates. Also I was hoping they'd have solid 1080p+ graphics which means lots of large texture packs. Well, here hoping to a English release announcement.

EvilMag - I agree, those specs look very port-friendly. So long as it looks to be around the quality of nothing less than Dragon Age or Mass effect 2, I'll be content. FFXIV is currently sucking resources and poorly programmed, so I hope Sega does not make the same mistake in going too far over the top and out of their area of experience.

I also share the sentiment in regards to GFX cards - the constant pushing of nVidia gets on my nerves rather quickly in recent years.

Lol but it's true... I run JP Psu perfectly fine and yes my gaming Pc is only a year old. If you know anything about PC is that you only have to upgrade your graphics card every 4-5 years.my Pc runs wow with no lag at all and that's in full screen also runs Terra online perfectly Also PSO2 forum ----->

why does it matter what system its on? pc is easy to upgrade so no lag will occur (or slowdown, w/e also based on your connection) when you say it shouldnt go to the xbox, you make urself sound like a ps3 fanatic this getting someone else on the xbox side to say that the ps3 will never get it either etc etc console wars, trolls, flaming etc nothing good comes out of this so should be obviously locked.

Because my build will run PSO2, perfectly. Stop raging over peoples lack of savvy when it comes to PCs and gaming builds.
And I'm with Code5 on this one, I ran PSUJP, full spec, with multi recording programs testing each out and there was ZERO lag in game, and in the recordings themself.

Because my computer surpassed the alpha requirements by a long shot. Unless they do a major upgrade I wont need to upgrade my PC for this game.

Slightly off-topic, but would these meet the requirements for the alpha, at the very least?

The last thing I want is getting access to a beta, only to find out the hard way my specs won't be able to handle the graphics >.>

The processor is probably fine (not exactly sure how it compares), but I think that GPU is well below the minimum required.

The approximate ATI equivalent of the 7800 GT is the HD 4650, and that's comparing desktop cards. A mobile HD 4200 would likely have extreme difficulty running the game, if it could do it at all.


Looks like it's time for you to buy a new computer. Generally speaking, trying to play games on a laptop is a fool's errand.
