Everyone's bringing up adventure three, so I'm gonna bring this up.
Apparently Takashi Iizuka mentioned he wanted to make a game like Knuckles Chaotix.
What would you think if they did this?
(I don't know how to post a link. If you want to read it go to google and type in Knuckles Chaotix 2 )
Personally I think this would be great as long as they kept it Knuckles, and Team Chaotix. Throw in Mighty if you need to. Don't add other unnecessary characters. Back when Team chaotix debuted, even the critics liked them. They were "a hoot" before the "parade of new characters". So let's not add people from the parade of new characters.

First off, I would like the Chaotix and Knuckles featured more prominently in the regular Sonic games.
First, have the Chaotix as minor characters with enjoyable and increasingly developed personalities.
Then, some partial playing time in a Sonic game.
Then, if they gather a nice following, a spinoff.
I feel that Sega needs to make these guys more prominent (even Knuckles) before they can make a spinoff. They have to be more popular.

I really enjoyed that game and would like it if another one was made. :)

^ This.
Also a port of the original game couldn't hurt. I owned a Sega CD but not a 32X so I never played the game.
I'm not so sure about them setting another game all to themselves, but they definitely need some more time to shine, particularly Espio. He has so much potential with those ninja gimmicks.
Personally, I'd rather see "Big's Adventure".

I didn't really like the gameplay of Knuckles Chaotix, but I wouldn't mind a spinoff as long as it's good.

Just, you know... whenever they make Sonic Ultimate Alliance, just have them add a CHAOTIX (+5 Teamwork) bonus to your squad if it contains Vector, Espio, Charmy, Knuckles, and/or Mighty.

What's Sonic Ultimate Alliance?

I'm joking, in reference to Marvel Ultimate Alliance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Ultimate_Alliance). :D

Love the idea of adding attributes tough that could work best in an advance 3 style team gimmick, where teaming up certain characters allowed to perform moves like air tricks ("unbreakable bond" and "team jubilee"). As for the rubber band gimmick from Chaotix I don't know if it is a good idea to bring that back as it kind of gets in the way of the "easy to pick up" approach that many of the 2-D Sonic games have.

Personally I'd prefer games take a little bit to learn and be original, then they be wuick to learn and the same as a bunch of other games. (That may be why I like ZG so much )

While the rubber band gimmick wasn't a bad idea (it actually allowed to get some pretty good speedruns when used properly) it felt like an unnecessary gimmick when the same goal (gaining speed) can be achieved in the other 2-D games withoutn overcomplicating things.
Still I'm all for the Chaotix in a 2-D game with unique skills for each member. (especially Espio)

Actually the rubber band mechanic was necessary. People have called this the fastest Sonic game, so the others obviously couldn't reach the speeds.
Also, I think it would be awesome if they made it work for a 3-d game.

I don't mind seeing another game like Knuckles' Chaotix. Even though I don't like Knuckles' Chaotix all that much (It's not a bad game. I just don't like it as much as the other 2D Sonic games at the time.), I still would like to see a Sonic game made like it.
