Friend Trade

I am in World US 101, and I have a buddy who just started playing and he is in World US 102. When we search for each other, the search results come up blank. Are we not able to be friends for the purpose of friend trade because we're in different worlds?

i know we could always agree to a deal and simultaneously post it on world trade, but that seems risky...one of us could have the trade go through w/ someone else, while the other one doesn't get the trade to work

as u wrote, its risky, u can make deal with anyone else - it is not problem for 1 of you, but 2nd wont be happy if his trade stay open:D, No friends between different worlds.., no solution, except play same world or use world trade and hope..

that seems like an incredibly harsh result considering the only reason we are in different worlds is because i had the mere fortuity of registering 1 week before him, and us 101 was closed by the time he tried to register. oh well. thanks for the response.
