I got 99 problems but a glitch ain't one.
(And yes, Sonic Advance alone does count for all 3.)

Sonic 2006.
The entire game is one, ergo it's only one glitch.

The classics and the modern games everything in between were buggy.

This is less of a subjective and more of an objective thing, so I'm not sure a poll was necessary. I tend to run into a lot of glitches when I'm playing the Genesis games for some reason, usually as a result of going too fast. So much for Blast Processing™. The same thing happens to me in both Unleashed and Generations, but not quite as frequently.
I also remember a lot of glitch complaints when Heroes first came out, but I remember brushing them off as the typical fanbase whining. But after playing the recent games and going back to it, I can sort of see what people were talking about (I even clipped through a Special Stage!). I've never been able to break the handheld games and I haven't seen many other people do it either, so I guess I'll go with them.

I've run into a glitch when playing Heroes so that can't be it.
I'm trying to think of a time when I glitched when playing Shadow or Riders or ZG but I can't.

Sonic Unleashed, Knuckles Chaotix, and Sonic 1-3/CD.Really? As much as I liked Unleashed, a lot more people than I expected are saying that it's clean enough to eat off of. I've came across quite a few glitches in that game. And that was before I even starting looking for them to begin with.

All the games have glitches. Such is the problem that comes with producing millions of copies. Most are unintentional, however.

I'm a bit puzzled about that too. Unleashrd certainly wasnt the buggiest, as very few bugs actually got in thw way of the game, but it certainly had its fair share of bugs. I've gotten stuck in a Werehog level at least twice, and in Rooftop Run Night, I had to redo a level because I got teleported to an area and didn't have any way to escape. The Daytime levels? Lets just say they had some bugs, and leave it at that.
The least buggiest games are Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic Advance. The 3D games all have a sizable amount of bugs, and Sonic 1 & 2 had their fare share of bugs too, though most of them never got in the way.

It took a long, long time (like some time in 2011) before I ran into a glitch in Unleashed.

To be fair, there's a lot more programming to to to get the underlying engine for a 3D title working, which throws the door open to a plethora of new glitches not present in pure 2D games.

The classics, but to be fair, that was most likely due to them being simply 2D.

Adventure games? Least Glitchy? Ha!
