PS3 Multiplayer games ONLY FINDS JAPANESE GAMES? WTF

Ok so I purchased this game for ps3, which I love btw. Anyways I go online and can not find any game available except for TDM, BUT every game lobby, most of the time is only 2 or 3, is all JAPANESE? WTF is going on? I've googled this issue and found nothing about it. Ping is always red and every game is nothing but japanese typing and lobby rooms are in japanese. Did I get an accidental import copy from the store or what? I know there has to be people in NA playing this game, although it NEVER finds anything except japanese game lobbies. PLEASE HELP.

Because US and EU players stop playing it like me cause sega wont patch it and for low players with good ping.

i go on every now and then. thank god that this game did quite well in japan because otherwise there would be no one playing online. apparently on xbox its a ghost town - xbox not popular in japan.

even when i play japanese players i rarely get much lag, so its not a problem for me.

no announcement from sega regarding support for this game. looks like they are not going to bother. it didn't sell well outside of japan,
its a shame because the game is great. this is a classic case of sega marketing ineptitude.
