Extra parts when replaying SP missions from A,B or C to S?

Hi,

I've just about completed the SP missions with around 50% at S grade on the way through. The reward parts are pretty naff and I have not received any of the melee weapons (spike/pile). Do you only get one chance to score parts as I have played several missions through free play up to S grade but have not received any extra parts.

Ah, I'm assuming the Lotto is part of the online action of which I have yet to get a connection ....

Just looked at a list on a fan site and it looks like the parts are fixed irrespective of the level of completion.

ermm... lets see.. well you get reward parts for a grade and additional parts for s grade, so that would be, say.. 2 parts you receive if you complete under s rank, maybe 1 for a and 1 for s, all i can tell you is i have every part having completed thegame to 100% s grade. my player status states that i have 171/171 or whatever it is, unlocked. you do get extra parts online though thats not all the parts that you can get. only the singleplayer parts list is completed.

oh, that includes the spikes, you do get them in singleplayer, a set of 4 of them in total, but not all off 1 mission.

As far as I know the spikes should already be there...it's just one spike, but you can bunch them up .

If you didn't completed all missions with a S rank don't worry. You can still redo them in freeplay. Allowing you to get that medal (and achievement) for completing them all with a S rank.
And to answer your question. Yes you get at least 1 more part if you bring an A up to a S. By redoing that mission in freeplay.

No i completed the game, then went back and filled in the gaps getting S rank on whatever mission i needed to complete to 100% :D

Most of the S-ranks are actually pretty easy. There are a couple of tough ones in the Heavy Gunner campaign, especially the last one, but you can do it in a day.

That's bizzare as I have redone several up from A's & B's to S and have not had any notification of new parts.

OK, I take that on board but do you only get one bite at the cherry in the story line as the manual implies that you can replay missions but you dont get any more 'rewards'.

So can anyone answer the definitive question, if I completed a mission at grade B and was awarded a basic part, would I get anything else if I re-did the the mission at free play and aced it with an S grade? My experiences tell me no, but I'm open to be convinced otherwise.

Don't worry dude I understand you,

I just went in free play and took an A rank (from my first go in story mode) to an S rank and got a new part for it.

If thats not happening in your game then I guess you've got some strange bug going on.

I completed the mission at A, Redid the mission in freeplay and completed it with a S and got one extra part for it.

Some levels do not give extra parts for S rank, I did some last night and I think there were at least two, I believe on Tactical Commander missions and/or Heavy Gunner.

Sorry for being thick but I was grading up and not getting parts. It must be the missions I was playing had already given maximum parts just for completing the mission irrespective of grade.
