The Story of the Mysterious Hunter

I'm a PSO fan myself and this is my first time actually coming onto this part of the Sega Board, but what the heck. I decided that I would rp my strongest PSO 1&2 player in an rpg with many others

Description: Always wearing red and other acessories, others mistaken her as a bounty hunter, when shes actually a treasure hunter. She was involved in an accident in which she lost all of her things, including her own Mag, a Kama that was lvl 55 and she had ever since she first became a hunter. She now wanders in search of her missing belongings and her beloved Kama, keeping her true identity hidden within a cloak.





The hunter sighed as she sat within a chair, leaning within the chair a bit. Her entire form was covered within a red cloak, but the cloak didn't have a hood. Her braided, black hair and her pointed ears could be seen, but her eyes were a bit dazed.

Another hunter, accompanied by what would seem to be his love, casually walked by, slowly walking past the other hunter.

Her eyes were closed as she thought to herself, a little mag known as a Varuna looking over at the two's direction, Master...there are others here at the cafe as well..what should we do? She sighed and opened her eyes, looking at the two strangers, Nothing...we do nothing...

"I'm feeling thristy, Basher. Could we stop by here?" the woman asked her.
He looked back at her and smiled. "Sure thing, Brittany. Then afterward, we could head down to the forest. I heard something cool was going to happen, so we can't be late."
"Ok then," she replied, as they both walked up to the cafe.

She stayed where she was and continued to lean in her chair, the Varuna sitting on the table. Her ears twitched when she heard what the HUmar said, making her grin a bit, Hmm...something in the forest huh?

Basher and Brittany sat down in the seats of an empty table, just to rest their feet. Basher got back up. "So what do you want to get to drink? I'll go get it for you."
"Just a water, that's all."
"You got it." he replied, then turned and walked over to the counter.

She thinks to herself as she watched the HUmar get some drinks, looking at her empty glass that was ice water, Hmmm...perhaps I should visit the forest today...

Seconds later, he came back, with ice water in one hand for Brittany, and a can of soda in the other hand for himself. "Here you go." he told her, handing her the drink she wanted and sat down next to her.

She smirked as her ears twitched again, hoping to grab some info from the two's conversation, Maybe its a treasure...if it is I can sell it to the highest bidders! Hehehehe...

"So what is it in the forest, Basher?" she asked him, taking a sip of her water.
"Well, from what I heard, something big that they said comes once every 30 years. I haven't had much background research on this myself, but I wanna check this out. If we miss this, we'll see it when we reach our mid-life crisis."

*Basher=19 yrs old. Brittany=18 yrs. old*

She smirked as she soon twitched her ears again, still listening for more information.

"Did they say what time?"
"They said somewhere around 3:00," he said, then looked at the clock above the front door. "That's about an hour from now. If we leave now, we could have just enough time to take a peek at what this is."

She smirked and soon got up at her chair, leaving some meseta as a tip. She smirked and grabbed her mag and placed it into her cloak, slowly walking towards the portal.

"Well, let's go then. ^_^" she said, then got up, finishing her water.
Basher got up after her and drank the rest of his soda. He threw it into the trash on their way out.

Ivory immediately got to the portal and found herself within the forest, grasping a pair of mechguns within her hands," Now...time to go hunting.."

Minutes later, both Basher and Brittany arrived to the forest. It was rather a long distance from the cafe to the forest. Once they got to the open clearing, Brittany sat down on the ground. Basher looked around, trying to find whatever it was they waited for.

Ivory smirked as she walked into a open areay, but was nearby to the two," Now...its almost 3 now....so wheres this thing?"

Basher kept looking around. "Where is it? I want to get a peek of it before the crowd comes in..." he said to himself. Just then, something flashed before them. "There it is."

Ivory watched the two and saw the flash of light, soon grinning devilishly," Yes...."

It was a rare beastiary on Ragol. It was similar to that of an Al Rappy, but it had a shiny diamond shard on the top of its forehead, in which legend says that it may grant anyone a wish, if they were to catch it. As of right now, it was stil asleep. "So this is what it is..." Basher said to himself.

Ivory smirked in glee as she checked her treasure book, grinning even more," That gem on its head can grant any wish to whoever catches it....I gotta catch it."

"I'll catch you, once the ceremony begins...Here's to a good one..." Basher said to it, then walked back to the open field.

Ivory smirked and soon snuck up behind the creature, soon catching it with a net,"Gotcha! Now gotta get out of here." SHe smirked and picked up the captured creature, soon running off into the deeper part of the woods.

Basher never noticed, but then saw the crowd begin to come. The ceremony was about to begin.

OOC: Would you like to do the person who does all the annoucing of the rare creature? Don't want to leave you bored or anything. ^^;

Ivory smirked as she was in the deepest part of the forest, soon looking at her catch," Hehehe...that gem on your head is worth alot.....but it shall be mine...so I can wish for my pride, my dignity, and all my beloved items."

A man came up to a podium that was set up in the center of the field. Everyone was watching and waiting when he would give the signal to start the chase.

Ivory smirked and gazed at the creature, soon pulling the net off of it," Now....since I captured you, you need to grant my wish."

The creature never made a sound, but just looked towards Ivory. Back at the ceremony, the man had to make initial preparations before the start of the event and noticed that the creature was gone! "Oh no! Where did it go?!" he frantically yelled.
He came back to the podium and told everyone of the bad news. Everyone was distraught. "What happened? Someone stole it?" Brittany asked Basher.
"That's what I'm hearing. Someone must be really greedy to get it." With that, he got up and went back into the deep forest woods, with Brittany following him.

Ivory sighed and soon sat down, making sure the creature stayed infront of her," But...I don't know if wishing will get what I want back.....I have...lost so much....little one..I'm sorry for tricking you, but I just wanted what was rightfully mine again."

Basher kept walking through the woods and found a set of footprints from where the creature was sleeping. "Someone must've realy high-tailed it. These footprints are far apart from each other. Let's follow it!" Basher said, then started running.
Brittany tried to catch up, but running in her dress made her slow.

Ivory looked at the creature and soon smiled, gently petting it on the head," Its alright...I'm sorry for what I did earlier....I was just desperate....to regain what I have lost..." She soon stood up and smiled, patting it on the head," Go on now....you'll be safe in this part of the forest since nobody can come this far."

Basher finally came up to the end of the footprint trail, seeing the creature and Ivory. "So you were the one who nabbed the creature!" he said.

Ivory turned her head and reconized the HUmar from the cafe, shaking her head," I was helping the creature...your creaturenapper went off and this creature was stuck within the net....it was about to go off now."

"Then why do the footprints end here?"

Ivory gazed at the hunter and soon turned her head, smiling when she saw that the creature left," He went up in the trees...."

Basher sighed, "Well, then we all have to wait another 30 years for that to come back."
Just then, Brittany rejoined him, catching her breath. "Running in a dress is almost impossible..."

Ivory smiled a bit as she soon thought to herself," With how thankful the creature was to get free...I think it'll come earlier than that....now, if you'll excuse me...I have to get to the mines.."

"The mines? What's up in the mines?"

Ivory shrugs," I have a bit of treasure hunting to do there....plus I need the experience.." She soon passed by the two with a simply nudge, soon casting a spell and creating a warp to the city and soon vanished.

Basher was left in awe. Then looked back to where the creature ran off to. "Why does that hunter seem familiar...."
"Familiar? You know her?" Brittany asked.
"Well, maybe back with I was visiting the hunter's guild and its school, before she got her hunting license...Maybe..."

Ivory thought to herself as her mind went back to the HUmar, for he was strangely familiar," Hmm...must have seen him in hunter's school...oh well.." She walked to the portal and sighs, heading straight for the mines.

"That must be her! She said to me that she wanted to gain as much experience as she could, since she knew of my level of experience. Now I remember. What a perfect opportunity to help her!" he said.

Ivory walked through the hallway within the mines, switching her weapons to pull out her trusty Shock Partisan +10," Now....you guys better drop something good for me.."

Brittany casted Ryuker to send them back to the city and they both followed Ivory towards the mines, before Basher turned back and went to the bank. "I have to pick something up first."
"Alright."

Ivory smirked as she picked up a really lovely weapon from the robots, grinning," Now this is good...I'll take this and the meseta they dropped."

Basher came back with another mag in his hands. "Why do you have another mag with you?" Brittany asked.
"This was my old Pian mag. I saw that girl's Varuna and figured 'If she wants to get more experience and become stronger, this mag will help her, since it's maxxed out its level of 200.'" Basher told her.
"Whatever you say," she replied with a smile, and they both headed towards the mines.

Ivory smiled as she got to the portal to Mines 2, soon rubbing her hands together," Soon I'll sell off these goods and save up the money..." Her Varuna, however, was upset, looking at Ivory sadly, I do not think it is a good idea master... She sighs and shook her head," We're going...and we're going to get back what I lost..."

Basher and Brittany arrived at the first area of the mines and searched around, looking for Ivory. "She said she would be down here. Maybe she's up farther. She's really strong to get through this much that fast then." Basher said.

Ivory went through the portal and was within Mines 2, but she was in a room fighting off Dunchic robots

Basher and Brittany kept searching and came up to the portal leading to the second area of the mines. "She must've gone through this first area already. She's really quick..." Brittany said to Basher.

Ivory soon stood within the room now filled with robot parts, slowly looking around," Alright now....I'll get to level 29 soon at this rate..."

They both took the portal down and to their surprise, they saw robot parts scattered all about the floor. "Yeah, she's been here..." Basher said.

OOC: Might take me a bit to post, since I'll be posting up the latest chapter to my ff here, The Unknown Hunter of Long Ago.

Ivory soon sat down to take a break, cleaning off her shock partisan like it was her pride and joy," I don't know what I would have done if I lost you too..."

Basher kept searching the rooms of the mines, while Brittany was trying to keep herself away from the robot parts.

Ivory soon blinked as her ears twitched, turning towards the door that was opening," Hm?"

Basher came through and saw her. "Ah, there you are. I was wondering where you went."

Ivory grumbled a bit and soon turned away, picking up her shock partisan +10 and started to walk towards a newly unlocked door.

"Hey, where do you think you're going? I just wanted to talk!" Basher said, following.

Ivory growled as she didn't turn around, the Varuna stopping to look at Basher, Don't mind my Master's attitude....she has had alot on her mind since the accident... Ivory growled, grabbing her Varuna," Come on!!"

"Well, she sure didn't act that way back in hunter school."

Ivory growls and turned her head, glaring at the two," You're both still following me?!" The Varuna looked towards Basher sadly, She lost alot....because of that accident...I'm not even her first Mag..

"What happened?" Basher asked.
"We're only concerned..." Brittany said.

Ivory grumbles and soon stops, turning to face the two," Alright!! I'll tell you!! I was attacked by something that not only took two levels away from me and put me back to level 26, but it also took away everything I owned, my dignity, my pride, and it took my Kama mag when it was lvl 55!! There!! Happy now?!"

"Whoa, calm down there, ma'am...That's why I came to give you something that'll help you," Basher told her.

Ivory growls, just backing away," I don't need help from any stinking hunter and force! I got by with what I have and what I find and sell! I'm a treasure hunter now!"

"Well, before, you said that you needed the experience since you wanted to be a high level hunter."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory growls," Yeah and I'm almost level 29.."

[supersonic703]

"Well, it you want to be stronger, use this mag," Basher said, and showed her the Pian. "I like to call it a trainer mag, since it'll help those reach up to higher levels without much hassle."

Ivory shook her head, frowning," No...my little Varuna is all I have.....though it would never replace my sweet Kama..."

"Well, at least you can have it. And maybe we could help you out in some way or another."

Ivory frowns and thinks to herself, blushing a bit," Actually.....I haven't defeated the boss here at the Mines yet.."

[supersonic703]

"We'll help you. I need the experience, too." Brittany said.

Ivory grumbles a bit as she thought to herself, for she was more of a solo person," Fine...but just once."

[supersonic703]

"You won't regret it. ^^" Brittany replied, smiling.

Ivory grumbled a bit, putting her partisan away to get out her Draw Mechgun +5," All I know is that I need mechguns to beat it..."

"And I can use my Caduceus wand," Brittany said.
"I'll just stand back and watch, and I'll come in when you guys are in trouble," Basher told them both.

Ivory grumbled and sighed, looking towards the doorways," Theres a few more robots to take care of before we get to the boss."

"Want me to take care of it?"

[knuckles6k]

Ivory shook her head," No...I can take them on my own, besides, I'm almost to level 29..."

"Alright, then."
"But, just to help you out..." Brittany said, then casted on Ivory support boosts, Shifta and Deband, both at level 23.

Ivory rolls her eyes," You know I could have done that...and no I didn't need the buffs....I can take them down myself with the last thing that I didn't get taken away from me." She soon put her mechguns away and took out her Shock Partisan +10, smirking.

"I'm just trying to be a bit helpful..." she replied.

Ivory shakes her head, soon walking through the door," Trust me...I know what I'm doing...thats why I amped this baby to do what I need it to do."

Brittany sighed. Basher followed Ivory, having Brittany by his side.

Ivory ran into the room and soon used her partisan to tear the robots apart in groups, taking them out easily

OOC: going to go...I'm exhausted here

Basher and Brittany came into the room and saw the destruction take place. "Looks like the buffs are helping her get through easily..." Basher whispered to Brittany.

Ivory soon stopped to look around, picking up every weapon, armor, meseta, and items that she could find," Say.....whats your name again? I can't really remember though you look familiar."

"The name's Basher. I beleive you're Ivory, one of the students back from last year's graduating class."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory slowly nodded," Yeah....nobody except the teachers liked me there..."

[supersonic703]

"Well, you were one of the top 5 students in that class."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory nods, still frowning," I know....."

[supersonic703]

"Why are you still down?"

[knuckles6k]

Ivory sighs and sat down on some rubble, still looking down," Nobody treated me like their equal....I hated hunter's school anyway...since I was always alone or was at the training grounds.."

[supersonic703]

"Well, at least you could prove yourself to them all, right now. Well, after this boss guy..."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory shrugs," I don't know...proving that won't do any good."

[supersonic703]

"Well, we'll find out soon."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory got up and sighed again, looking away," Besides...I haven't seen anyone from my graduating class yet.."

"We'll find them along the way, cheer up."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory sighs and soon looks up, strands of black hair falling on her face," I remember when I first saw you there...at the graduation.."

OOC: flashback!!

Basher was sitting in one of the chairs on the stage platform, while Brittany right next to him.

Ivory sat by herself in the crowd and frowned, looking down.

[supersonic703]

"Hey, what's with that girl...sitting all alone...Oh, what was her name..." Basher thought.
Before long, before he grasped the name, Principal Tyrell came up to the podium.

Ivory soon looked up toward the podium, her pointed ears were slightly downward.

[supersonic703]

Tyrell soon began the graduating speech he normal says every year. Basher had his arms folded, bored as he always was, since he was the graduate of the first year Hunter Academy was established. Now it's the 15th graduating class, and he's been to every last one of them. Brittany dozed off and placed her head on his shoulder. She was the 2nd class, but never really gain up experience; she's been hanging around Basher all too long.

Ivory soon looked down with a frown on her face, for she knew that this year was going to be the last one for her in this school.

"And now to begin handing out to you your hunter licenses, starting with the top students of the class!" Tyrell annouced, as he got out the pack of licenses.

Ivory knew that she wasn't one of the top students, for there was one class that she almost failed in, Teamwork development class.

Tyrell read off the first 5 names on the list. "Let's see...Armion, Sakura, Lily, Ivory, and Mark."

Ivory's ears twitch as she soon heard her name so she got up from her seat and slowly walking up towards the podium.

He handed the five their licenses and shook their hands as well. Basher smirked, "All great hunters, and some rangers."

Ivory shook the Principal's hand and looked around as she got her license, seeing everyone else of her class glare at her in disgust.

[supersonic703]

Two classmates whispered to each other. "Why is she one of the top? She doesn't deserve it..."
"I know...I thought I had to be a team player to be on the top...I guess I never had to..." the other whispered back, glaring at Ivory.

Ivory whines to herself and looks down, feeling the glares of her peers on her.

An hour later, all the licenses have been passed out, and Tyrell asked Basher to come up to the podium for his speech towards them.

Ivory soon looked up and actually watched Basher in fascination, actually smiling for once while she listened.

[supersonic703]

He stayed on the podium for about 20 minutes, talking about what their graduation meant, what they were to do in Ragol, and to help solve what happened to Pioneer 1. And from time to time, he would talk about his experience in the academy as well.

Ivory looked interested throughout everything he spoke about, making her happy for the first time during her time at the school.

He ended his speech by saying about his life afterwards, and also how he reached to Expert Hunter status by his experience, having level 125 experience."

OOC: I just made that status name up. ^^;

Ivory smiles and looked at him, now her head filled with dreams and wonders.

"Ragol is still a dangerous planet, but we're still determined to colonize on its surface. But if you keep practicing your skills from here on out, you make it it peaceful."

Ivory smiles as she looked proud that she got her license.

"So now, all of Pioneer 2 welcomes you all, the 15th graduating class of Hunter Academy!"

Ivory was actually cheering with the other graduates of the class, for now she had a new sense of spirit in her.

Basher came off the podium, and Tyrell dismissed the ceremony.

Ivory soon headed into the room where the graduation party was being held, but she kept to herself in a small corner.

Both Basher and Brittany came into the room.

Ivory soon took a seat in the corner and frowned once more, seeing that everyone was glaring at her in hatred.

Brittany took a look at the crowd, then towards Ivory. "Why are they staring at her like that?" she asked Basher.
"Huh? What's going on?" he asked, then looked over. "Oh man...the same girl that everyone's been staring coldly at...I'll go talk with her about it, alright?"
Brittany smiled and let him do as he wished. Basher walked up to Ivory. "Hey, how's it going?"

Ivory jumps a bit and turns her head, realizing that it was only the one from before," Oh......nothing really..."

"Nothing, huh? Would you mind telling me...why many stare at you so coldly?"

[knuckles6k]

Ivory frowns and looks down, shuddering a bit," They glare at me like that...because of my family....and me..."

[supersonic703]

"What was wrong with you and your family? Something drastic?"

[knuckles6k]

Ivory frowns and looks away," I-I don't really want to talk about it..."

[supersonic703]

"Are you sure?"

[knuckles6k]

Ivory nods, still hiding herself," I'm sure..."

[supersonic703]

Basher smiled. "Well, if you ever need to talk to me about something, you could always come up to me and ask. Hopefully, I might see you on Ragol, helping to keep it safe."
He turned and walked off back towards Brittany.

Ivory turned around to look at him leaving, soon smiling," Someday I want to become as strong and agile just like you.....someday I'll get there...someday..."

"Well, now can you tell me what the reason was for all the cold stares directed towards you?"

Ivory sighs as she remembered things in that dreadful past of hers, soon frowning," Because...my father was helping scientists try to come here to Pioneer 1 and well.....he used himself as an experiment and is now a monster down here..."

"A mo-mo-monster?!?!?" Brittany cowered behind Basher.
"Monster, eh? Where down here? In the mines?" Basher asked.

Ivory frowns, shaking her head," No...elsewhere.....I heard that there was a place called the Ruins...and thats where I've been trying to get to my entire life....because hes there..."

"We can help you get there, you know, faster."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory nods softly and soon looked up, slightly smiling," Thanks...you two are the only friends I ever had...."

[supersonic703]

"Don't mention it," Basher said, with a thumb up.

Ivory smiles and got her mechguns out, for she was ready," Alright...we're close to the boss."

"Lead the way, Ivory."

[knuckles6k]

Ivory nods and got up, actually smiling for once," I'm sorry for how I was treating you two before....and yes, I was the one who tried to kidnap that creature...but I let it go."

"I thought so. Heh, but I played along." Basher said, smiling and folding his arms.
"It's all ok. We forgive you. ^-^" Brittany replied.

Ivory smiles," Thanks guys....now lets go.."

"Alright!"

Ivory smiled happily and got her partisan ready, grinning at Brittany," I'm ready for more buffs Brittany." :)

"You got it! ^-^" she replied, then casted Shifta and Deband onto Ivory.

Ivory smirks and soon thinks, returning the favor by castint Shifta and Deband on Brittany," Just returning the favor."

"Thanks. ^-^" she replied.
Basher readied his Dark Flow sword.

Ivory nods and soon takes off, knowing they would follow," This way!"

Ivory grinned and easily lashed out at the Dubchics, soon seeing the main robot in the center," BRITTANY! BASHER GO! I'll distract them and you destroy that or else they'll come back!"

"Way ahead of ya." Basher replied with a wink, then fired a charged shot at the controller, while Brittany sent a Zonde attack towards it.

Ivory continued to fight off the robot and the zombie robots with her partisan, for she hoped that the controller would be destroyed soon.

After the Zonde struck, another 2 shots from Basher's Varista impacted it, then the controller broke to pieces, smoldering in smoke.

Ivory took a deep breath and prepared her mechguns for battle, hoping that she could do it this time.

They both followed her. The instant they got in, the teleporter reacted and sent them to the room of Vol Opt. However, to their surprise,...

Ivory was struggling a bit to fight off the enemies that were coming on her fast, beads of sweat rolling down her face, D-Damn it! Theres j-just too many!

When the two came in, Basher immediately rushed to her aid, as Brittany looked around herself. "This can't be...the Ruins Pioneer 1 mentioned before they lost contact....can it?" she thought.
Basher began to attack a few of the monsters with his Black King Bar. "Take this!!"
