I'm not sure. I'd like to see the story behind Robotnik and how he got started with his battle against Sonic, but I don't think I'd want him to have his own game for it. Maybe they could do an Sonic Adventure-style game that gave everyone's back story(where Robotnik came from/why he fights with Sonic, how Knuckles became the last of his kind, etc, etc).

na, u kno like in the final fight between sonic and shadow when ur on the hero story u have to win wit sonic and when ur on the dark story u have to win with shadow

I always thought playing as Robotnik was very interesting, and one of the main reasons I bought SA2 when it first came out was because you could do that...I very much looked forward to an ending where Robotnik won..

A Robotnik game could be handled as a "What if..." type game, where if it's a game he wins in the end, it's not considered canon afterwards. It's just a game to show what would happen, from Robotniks point of view, if he actually managed to beat Sonic.

I would like to see a little more of clasic, evil robotnik. I also likd the poi tof view of following his plans succesfully and seeing how Sonic fits into his adventure and what a pest that can be.

A Robotnik game, or a game that you played as Robotnik even if he wasn't the main character, could still happen with him being evil.

It doesn't *have* to be "Robotnik is working for the good side", it could just be you're controlling Robotnik doing evil things.

Well an RTS-style game would probably suit Eggman better.
Imagine a game where you could control either GUN or Eggman's forces.

I'm just not sure what it would be about. After all, all he does is plot a bunch, pull some strings, then get pounded on by Sonic.

I can't imagine what the story would be, it's not like Robotnik would be going through levels shooting robots or anything. He's not the action sort. Speaking of which, the story of SA2 with him was so unremarkable that I can't even remember why you played as him. :|

Just probably not a good idea, leave him as a villain through and through.

are you talkin' about Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? Anyways, I think this is a good idea as a side project. They should wait until they've made 3 consecutive, classic-quality new sonic games and then branch out to something like this.

I think that it could be a great game, but Sonic Team would probably ruin it. I would love to be able to play as Robotnik, command his robots, and use his Eggomatic inventions (some could be unlockable). It would also be nice to have a game with a bad ending for once. I was hoping for that and was disappointed when I saw that they dogged it in both Sonic Adventure 2 [Battle] and then Shadow.

That would be hilarious! Robotnik finally gains control of the world and then at the end of the game, this happends. That would leave gamers sitting there like, "...What the **** just happened?"
