Or at the very least we shouldn't change the rules halfway. One clear-cut set of rules...plain and simple.

Eh, the rules are changed to ensure the game keeps moving. We can't add anymore then 3 to a character now to speed up the elimination process, now that there are only the few, more popular characters left. The game would go no where otherwise.

Not if those rules were implemented in the beginning. This would've gone much faster and been much more fun/frantic if the "Additions limited to 3" rule were established from the get-go. In the first few pages the total point-flex was limited to three...that was a mistake.

Rules for a future game would be along the lines of:
1) Six points to work with
2) Subtractions have no limits
3) Additions are restricted to 3 per character per post
4) Adhering to the previous rules, points may be split among as many characters in as many denominations as mathematically possible
5) One point-related post per person per page
6) No spamming (i.e. all non-point posts must have a point and be relevant)

Then there wouldn't be any contest to keep a character recently added alive, because from the the games start it would be easier to eliminate a character rather then keep them alive. The game started out with +3 -3 to ensure the weaker characters where weeded out first.

The game flows better this way.
