All good things must come to an end and we are near the end of online service for PSO GameCube. We hope you have enjoyed playing as much we enjoyed making the game. As of next week, we will not accept any new accounts.

Those who have active accounts can continue playing until 3/31/07. As a way of saying “thanks!” we are not charging for the final month of service (March).

If you enjoyed playing Phantasy Star Online, we think you should check out Phantasy Star Universe.

Probably because some people were cheating on the online play.

No, I think it had more to do with the fact that there were more people playing on PSOBB and PSU. Just like when PSO Eps. 1&2 for GC and XBox came out, eventually they shut down the Dreamcast servers. There were not enough people playing online to make it worth keeping the servers up.

I tryed that that and I have it downloaded on my comp but it dosen't work after I doble click it after awhile a black square will apper and then disaber I say my comp sucks to bad and remake PSO for Wii or make PSU for the Wii I think if nintendo let sega make PSO for the game cube why not for the wii? it has to be online! :(

I downloaded PSOBB awhile back from that site, It was anoying having to set my keyboard language to japanese because some people dont have the language packs like me (at the time) Im new to PSU and I really dont know why everyone says this game sucks, its really fun and the combat system stays true to the old one.

Well for one reason, people who played pso got a little too attached to it. They exaggerated how great it was, thus why they believed Psu sucked. Don't get me wrong though, I like pso and also psu.

Same here :) I like both of them.
I think a lot of the reason some people don't like PSU is because the drops are different. Weapons don't drop very often for one thing and that was a big draw in the PSO games.
Actually the combat system is even better in PSU because you are no longer restricted to the 3 hit combo. I can shoot my rifle for as long as long as I want to without a break. (or until I need to restore PP :P ) And you are able to move while attacking, a definite bonus.

Yeah, plus larger battle filelds, more weapons etc. I just hate your weapon can break when you try to upgrade it with (usualy) more than 4 grinders.
