Will the new Aliens game be anything like....

Will the new aliens game being made by Gearbox/Sega look like colonial marines except it wont be on hold, and kind of grainy? For those who dont know what Colonial Marines is, or what it looks like, check here.

+I think if it is like that, it will finally do the alien franchise a good game that is popular. I wish aliens online had been made :(

Ever since my short run with Aliens Online on, the now non-existent, gamestorm.com I fell in love with the concept of a FPS rpg in the Aliens universe. Then when Fox sued the pants off Gamestorm.com for title rights I had hoped Fox’s new “Aliens vs. Predator” Release would fill the void. Sadly it was just another first person shoot em up. They did a lot better with AvP 2 but I still missed the great rpg elements of Aliens Online. What I loved about the game was the leveling up and class specialties. Marines got the medics, riflemen, specialists, ect. There was an added strategic value to the rpg with leveling up your character and joining a fire team to burn down the hive. Playing an alien was great as well. The Aliens had a slight advantage seeing as they had npc drones in their base that were more or less cannon fodder. You had the different classes of face huger or drone. The huggers had weak attack power but were perfect for scouting and as a drone once you reached enough xp you had the option of playing as a queen. The queen could lay eggs and hatch more npc cannon fodder making the game ever changing and unpredictable. Oh how I miss the good old days back then you paid 10 bucks a month for this and many other online games with dedicated servers. I would jump at the chance to play another Aliens Online. Though I doubt this Obsidian release will have this kind of dedication I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
