For the most part... there are certain types that are best with cannons or rockets (in cities mostly, I've also run with heatseekers just for the explosion/confusion factor, as well as one less thing to concentrate on, allowing me to help my team a great deal more :D)

Sniper Rifles are also good, because they have range and some power, are lightweight, have a lot of ammo, and reload quickly...

Its all what you're good with, downgraded... :S

Commander is all about giving good info. I think myself to be a decent commander and I simply use a fast guy with 4 MG's and a 1200 NA. The proper intel wins the match if you use one. Most guys will tell you that using weapons like snipers for expample take alot away from your role. And those few seconds may just be enough for your sqd mates to miss a vital move by the enemy.

A TC's primary role is intel... Not sniping or gunning.

If you can do it and get by? Great. But remember your primary duty.

I run a TC on Naqas, the lightest NA (relying on combas towers) with 4 HW300s loading HE60s possitioned like a Gator. This has proven effective in direct combat sure... Against cannon hounds I can splash away their aim in each shot, and their guns are gone in 3-4 volleys with fast reload. Scouts are nothing more than fodder.

But, I never engage unless I have to. I stay within 2 grids of my allies (Generally run in fire teams. I.E. a 5vs5... 2 DDs, 2 Pillboxes, and me. One team would consist of 1 DD and 1 Pillbox. I would stay two grids behind 1 of the said teams). I don't enter the fray unless they call in some more fire support for emergency use.

This way, I can focus on the map wherever necessary, and watch enemy movement and coordinate ambushes. Plus, I still have enough firepower to range a base effectively should I find it unguarded or as a tactic to lure the enemy out into the open.

I tall depends on personal preference. I've also run TC scouts with machine guns as base rushers. I've also run a TC on quads with snipers. It all stands with your abilities and what you're good at.

There is no "Best" or "Worst" weapon for any RT. It boils down to the pilot.

I saw the funniest hound the other day. Someone maneuvered a single lonesome piledriver beneath their cockpit with spacers. And it looked pretty suggestive. Lmao.

I built a hound called "My Big :):):):)er". It is on Naqas, using spacers that extend from the legs, behind around the :):):), and in between the hound's legs where I put a C20 cockpit. On top of the cockpit I have a large single cannon directly at hip level (I believe the MSK HC1001/D).

This is the hound of ultimate molestation.
