I would like to know if there is interest in Space Siege available for GNU/Linux and/or OS X.
Will Space Siege use a more cross platform 3D rendering standard like OpenGL instead of DirectX, so that it would be more accessible for those using OS X, GNU/Linux and older versions of Windows?
Thank you,
OC

Dude, get over it, DX9/10 will continue to be used for gaming, OpenGL while good is just not being used by the developers on every game.
If you want to play these games why not build a PC for gaming?
Or Try "Parallels" for Mac.
Apple + Games = minimal selection
Steve Jobs just hasn't placed his focus on winning over gamers to Mac OS X.
I built a PC for this very reason, I got tired of waiting for the Mac port for many different games starting with Duke Nukem way back in the 90's By the time it came out it for Mac OS 9 was way old-school.
There is just not enough demand for gaming on Mac (or Linux) to make it the expenditure worthwhile to the developers.
So you can cry foul or just realize there are limits to ALL operating systems, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, for the Mac it's weakness seems to be PC Gaming, other than that it rocks.
IMHO linux is a great server, period.
Windows, most compatible, most hacked, most opportunity to profit off if you are a tech.
