Due to your ability (or lack there of) to stop self proclaimed boosters, and ban people who call them out(let alone delete the threads where they admit to it) another booster squad has stolen the war medal from a legit squad.

We worked so bloody hard to get the medal only to see the boosters take it away from us.

Glad to see that you support boosters and cheaters.

Not entirly true. They sacrificed their integrity, honor, and respect. All for a fake medal in a game. Pretty pathetic. In all actuallity, they lost more then they gained. Btw, it's cheaters never prosper.

Krad,
I play CH to have fun with the :):):):):):) guys in 6-26 and not for the medals themselves. However we realized that we were close and maybe had a chance at one of them. We put a lot of legit effort into playing the snot out of the game and some of the guys are a bit upset over the cheating. I think we ended up with over 90,000 renown for the war. Spartiate took a day off of work to play, Bezerker was at it for 18 hours at a crack and Desolate gained 18,0000 renown in 4 days. I admit to playing more then I should have and my wife's not happy about it. Some of need to vent so maybe you should just cut us some slack here.

Some way to vent. O_o; If I were really that angry, I'd type up more than a few sentences. I can't possibly see how two sentences can satisfy your anger, lol.

I just think it's a pity that people are only making threads to bash or complain about others. (The exception would be pointing out squads that use illegitimate ways to get what they want, ect.) I want to see fortifying threads, ones which try to get things done. Not these oh-so generic topics with the usual complaint which was addressed a dozen times in the past. It's unneeded, is all I'm saying.

There used to be hundreds of threads which proposed strategies and nothing but good words to others and game itself. Now it's just bitter jibberish. To the game, the players, and now the moderators. It's sad.

These are public forums and they are intended for voicing opinions and concerns. TaskForce got cheated by a group of punks that ADMITTED TO CHEATING on a PUBLIC forum, and yet nothing can be done. I hope you can understand a tad bit of frustration.

Ya'know, I stopped playing Halo 2 a long time ago because everytime I played I got modded. But at least Bungie continuously attempted to fix the cheating and also let the community know that they were trying hard to stop it. FROM however has done nothing.

626 did deserve the medal for the past war (although I really don't aggree with having numerous recruits in the squad). You've been playing really well lately (although half of you is now SpK).

We look forward to the tougher competition. Later.

I'm also an ex-Halo gamer. Halo has gone to the :):):):):):):)s for what that game was worth. It was a really great game, yet people had to :):):):) on Bungie and the entire gaming community for a mere number by their name.

All I can hope for is that Halo 3 will be far more productive. =\

It's not the entire community, I still play but I don't care for decorative numbers next to your name in rank matches. It's lame, in addition you can never just simply place a rank next to someone's name proclaiming that there great, bad, or new.

Last I checked, there were four members who are ex-HavocUnit. We may be getting another...rough math yields a max of 25% of current 626 members who were with HavocUnit previously......

Didn't have my facts completely straight. There are 5 guys from Havoc (SpK).

They do gain alot more for having a lower rank, and I could've sworn we saw a guy with 0 achievements and his name started with "|X|" or something.

They are a few of the best players in CH and they are winning under low ranked tags.

I won't go as far as saying that is cheating, but I would let you know that your renown totals are going up much faster because of it.

If they were that dedicated and interested in joining your affiliation, they should have brought their main accounts over.

Moot point...these guys put in serious hours...We may not have had a chance for the medal, but no other squad even came close to us in the last war. This is all due to the amount of hours put in...do not lessen the accomplishment by pointing out this fact that we are all aware of.

The reasons for these guys proceeding this way has been stated before....I will not rehash the subject....needless to say, there is good reasoning for it.

Again, why are you trying to negate the achievment the squad accomplished. We were only 5-6000 off of the medal and almost double the renown of the closest legit squad.....

I believe 2 guys came in with recruit accounts. The others were MSG, and 2 Cadets if I'm not mistaken. Yes, of course wins gain more renown at those ranks. That "renown jump" is temporary. We do not derank and two are now COL. Going 142-7 over the past 4 days does wonders for merit/rank. The squad renown had more to do with squad activity and success than a couple of Cadets and Recruits entering.

Honestly, I've only had the opportunity to play with one of the former HU/SpK more than a few times. Personally I've played SUPERFREAKS 8-9 times the base 4 days and I was the only HU/SpK member in the room on 7-8 of those. I'm flattered if you think that one the fomer HU/SpK members in each match makes that big of a difference. Fact is, the original x626x men were doing just fine before we got here. The biggest impact we've had is to help increase squad activity. The HU/SpK folks are just happy to finally play with these guys.

BTW: Why did you guys switch to Sal Kar yesterday??

Cheating is only cheating if your Point of View is not sucessful. Case in point. The United states was the first country to build and use weapons of mass destruction on a global scale. In a fraction of a second we killed off 140,000 civilians to gain the upper hand while over Hiroshima. We justifed the cheating by claiming it would save lives on both sides, yet we performed the act yet again a few days later when they did not surrender.

The Geneva convention was put in place to prevent the use of WMD like mustard gas that would maim thousands and also affect civilians. After setting these ground rules, we went and bent said rule and upped the stakes. Due to our cheating, we could still one day eliminate all higher life on this planet? http://www.icrc.org/ihl.nsf/FULL/280?OpenDocument

My point? It's a game. Big deal if some idiot bends the rules to make him/herself appear to be a massive gamer. You need to get a grip and move on to better things in your life.

That being said, relax and have fun. :D

I find two things wrong with the Geneva Convention being applied to the use of nuclear weapons. One, nuclear weapons don't create an asphyxiating gas nor liquid.

Two, nuclear fallout was not understood in the 1940's... only the instant destructive power of the bomb. So our "cheating" was unintentional.

Should also be noted that an invasion of Japan would likely have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of American servicemen (estimates vary, but the original invasion plan went for around 1 million) and countless Japanese military and civilian personel. The civilian population was being trained to give their lives to kill as many Americans as possible using whatever means available.

And while often ignored, Russia was fighting Japan as well, what if Japan had been forced to surrender to them? Who can say what a communist Japan would have done to the whole region, but I dare say that we would be far worse off.

No one really knows what the world would be like if America had not bombed Japan, but right intent doesn't always make right action (because Kant was an idiot), so sometimes the ends have to justify the means.

First off, your point is twisted and factually inaccurate. Chemical/biological weapons are considered a WMD. The reason for the attempts to limit chemical weapons was the affect it had on the armies during WWI, the belligerents did not target enemy civilian populations with chemical weapons. The Geneva Conventions you ellude to occured in 1949. The atomic bombs were dropped in 1945. The US never ratified the treaty you provide a link to, so we are/were not bound by it's stipulations and in any event does not refer to nuclear weapons (nor could it since they weren't invented yet)

The US Laws of Land Warfare (a easier to read compilation of our treaty obligations) state: "The use of explosive "atomic weapons," whether by air, sea, or land forces, cannot as such be regarded as violative of international law in the absence of any customary rule of international law or international convention restricting their employment."

Before the bombing, the Japanese were beaten. Their leadership failed to surrender even after Tokyo and other major cities were razed in firebomb attacks with no appreciable political effects. An American invasion of Japan would have yielded many more casualties, both civilian and military.

At the time of its bombing, Hiroshima was a city of considerable military significance. It contained the headquarters of the Fifth Division and Field Marshal Hata's 2nd General Army Headquarters, which commanded the defence of all of southern Japan. The city was a communications centre, a storage point, and an assembly area for troops. It was chosen as a target because it had not suffered damage from previous bombing raids, allowing an ideal environment to measure the damage caused by the atomic bomb. The city was mobilized for "all-out" war, with thousands of conscripted women, children and Koreans working in military offices, military factories and building demolition and with women and children training to resist any invading force.

"After setting these ground rules, we went and bent said rule and upped the stakes. Due to our cheating, we could still one day eliminate all higher life on this planet"?!?!?!?!?

You are a MORON.
