I was just wondering, how deep is the combat and striking system in Condemned 2? Generally, everyone likes a deeper, more complex game because it adds to the replay value and strategy of the game's primary meat, which is its hand-to-hand combat.

How much does aiming and measuring your punches/swings affect hit effectiveness? Do strikes to the head do more damage than ones to the limbs? Does proximity and location affect the damage per hit (do direct hits do more hurt than glancing blows)? Is there any sort of randomization to the damage amount inflicted per hit a la an RPG?

Many of these are questions that aren't completely and overtly spelled out for you in the instruction manual, things that only the devs could provide insight upon, but if there's any way we can flesh out all the nuances of the gameplay system for Condemned 2 for the benefit of future Gamefaqs, then it can only be a good thing.

Clumsyorchid, I'd really appreciate your input on this if you have anything substantive to add yourself.

Compared to the first game, it's much deeper.

You can do combos, break peoples limbs and as far as I know if you hit them in the head it does more damage.
