To all members,

There has been some recent discussion about how we manage our forums, and what steps we take to warn and ban people on the boards. I'd like to clear the air a bit and offer some insight into our system, and address some of the removals that have taken place.

For the SEGA forums, we're striving to keep a friendly open space that allows new and old members to participate in a wide range of discussions. To help keep the discussions and postings in check, we've developed a basic ruleset describes the type of content that is and is not acceptable within the forums. These rules are pretty tame and the bottom line is to be respectful to all members, moderators, and admins.

In the event that we need to address someone on the forums about an infraction to the rules, the moderator or Admin staff will issue a warning informing the user of the problem or issue, and ask that they stop this behavior. If the behavior continues, more warnings are issued and could lead to a full removal if there is no change.

If a person is removed from the forums, it means we have exhausted our warnings and the user has shown they do not wish to change. Since the SEGA forums do not offer a temporary ban system, all bans are permanent. A ban from the forums is not a harsher warning or a second chance, it is our last resort to clear an issue we have found to be ongoing and problematic.

For anyone that does receive a warning during your posting time within the forums, please respect the moderator or admin that issues the warning. Feel free to ask the mod or admin about the warning so you are clear on everything, or discuss it with them. We're all reasonable people and just want to keep everyone in a space that is fun and enjoyable.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me or another Admin about the policy.

Thank you!
