street date

I keep seeing a shipping date of the 5th for this game.
I asked my local gamestop and they told me they still don't have a street date and are thinking it might release the same day as the movie ala Iron Man.
This would be a HUGE mistake, bigger than the hulk himself for 1 very big reason, the 12th MGS4 releases and if I had to pick one of them as much as I love my Hulk it would be metal gear.
Both mine are paid for right now, because I have been paying little by little since the announcements.
I really hope Sega lets us release our inner fury on the 6th because if they let go the same day as Metal gear, sales will suffer I am sure.
Anybody know a for sure Street Date?

This date makes the most sense to me. Normal release date for games and enough time in front of MGS4 that people won't have to chose.

I hope the June 5th date is correct.I would rather play it before the movie comes out.I kind of figure the actual date will be about when the movie comes out and they haven't changed it yet.

I think SEGA wants to try to get the game released around the same time as the movie, though (which is the week after the game is "supposed" to come out). Also, if the game comes out the week before the movie then that would spoil the movie for alot of people as well. So, who knows.

Anyways, I am really hoping for a release date of either June 3 or June 5.

My Game Informer Magazine says it comes out the 3rd. My local Gamestop says the 6th.
Does anybody else see why I am confused and hoping a Mod or someone who has info from Sega (hint. hint. hint. joe fixit 2 :D )

Per Edge of Reality, the release date is still a little in flux. They worked up right to the deadline to make sure it was the best game so it will probably be after June 3 but definitely before the movie is released.

I am seeing more websites with the 3rd as a release date which is good news for me and all of us who can't wait to get our hands on this... next most popular date is the 6th and finally and hopefully not true...Marvel says the game will be same as movie, 13th...but they cant decide what color he is let alone when he will smash his way onto store shelves!!!!
I also just went to the wiki for the game and it has a june 3rd release and says no Maestro for us to play... got my hopes up for the 3rd again.

Well....I've learned that alot of times the release dates that you see on websites and retail sites or read in magazines need to be taken as pure speculation and not official. Until either the publisher or the developer announces the official release date.....all other dates are just speculation.

So.....until either Sega or Edge of Reality announces an official release date.......the June 3 and June 5 release date are more of an "estimated" release date.

But, I would guess that the game will comes out either in the first or second week of June.

I would say it is the 6th for street date then,
Click on the preorder from this site and it takes you straight to Gamestop with the ship date the 5th.
It seems if this were not true then Sega would make them be more vague like coming out in June intead of an exact date. :?:
2 more weeks or 3 more weeks? Guess it's a waiting game now.

Sorry for double post but pretty much a confirmation of the 6th as a street date, click on the news and take you to the site and right at the top says available June 6th, now we can put this baby to rest and just wait.
Here is an update! Best Buy will have the Game on WEDS the fouth....2 days before gamestop. :?
I guess I am going to buy my first game ever from Best Buy.
