Ok...This is just a random thought that crossed my mind months ago and I've posted about it a few times in random topics on a few forums, but never made an actual topic for it.
I hope to get a few positive responses before nuckles87 finds this topic and curb-stomps it, as I know he's bout as fond of this idea as a Polar Bear is to Global Warming. :lol:
Do you think that Robotnik returning to the Sonic Archie comics would be a good idea? Do you think Ian Flynn, the current writer, could handle such a thing if he were to suddenly change his mind on bringing back ol' blubber bottom?
I honestly think it could work if done properly...My only problem is that I don't know enough about some things to know if my idea could even be feasible...Is Robotropolis still in existence? Just deserted and trashed from the explosion in #110? Or is it nothing but a crater now?
I always thought it would be interesting to see Robotnik Prime secretly come back by the aid of some outside source (I'd personally prefer the original Metal Sonic that may or may not have died in issue 87) and disrupt Eggman's (I'll call him this to avoid confusion) plans using his former technologies in Robotropolis, such as the SWATBots, and of course by using Metal Sonic (the one with the armcannon) to destroy all of Eggman's main weapons in New Megapolis so that Eggman doesn't just nuke the crap out of what is left of Robotropolis...And now Sonic would have 2 enemies to deal with but at the same time the 2 Robotniks would have to decide who is the bigger threat...and also poor Snively's life would certainly be in extreme danger, as Metal Sonic could obviously be sent to hunt him down by Robotnik Prime.
Now I have an idea for a story MUCH better than that...but I would prefer not to say it and then find someone use it in their fanfiction....no offense...If I ever get around to finishing it I'll post it in the fanfiction sometime...
Now lastly...I am slightly hesitant about the return of Robotnik Prime because I simply don't think Ian would take it in a good direction, and it may not be worth the trouble to bring back such an amazing character and then just crap all over his legacy (see issue 107...or was it 108?).
