Currently I have a TC/Heavy Sniper. He rides of a 4Leg Chassis, has the lowest of all the armored Morj cockpits, 1100+ NAmaker, 2 Sniper Rifles and 3 Sniper Cannons. Do you think this is a good build for a TC who wants to have some fighting ability? Normally I wait for a squad mate to engage and then blast away at the Enemy hound with my cannons and Rifles. I do however find myself being too slow sometimes. Anyone have any advice on how to make a TC that is still somewhat combat effective.

i think you have the right idea. possibly strip one or two of the guns off and change the legs to make you more agile.
i personally have a biped base, two rifles, two rocket pods and the na maker on my back like a rucksack (can`t stand that big stupid hat look).
this gives me a speed of 150 so i can run about giving support fire to my teammates. i wouldn`t go one on one with other mechs but teammates certainly appreciate someone backing them up.

I hate snipers on a TC personally you're too damn slow to be any use with em. Buut howies or rockets and missles make very sexy additions to any TC My squads TC is running with the NA on 4 legged chassis generator right behind the cockpit armor plating behind the generator and in front of the cockpit. 5 of those rocket launchers that shoot 8at a time and one gatline.... i dunno why he strapped the gatline on there, It looks dumb as hell and doesn't do much but he wants it so.... he packs one hell of a punch before he dies. He's slower than a freakin turtle but hy speed isn't really a TC's strong point.

My TC has a light Sal Kar sniper, not really for fighting but more for getting a zoomed in look at things.

We have a guy in our squad with a sniper/TC he is able to buy the sniper round that cost like 1k per shell, hes a beast with it too so i dunno about the no sniper thing, he has saved our butts a couple times taking out a homing missle hound from a safe distance and killing the last hound off after he wipes the rest of the squad.

My Hound is a TC/Sniper, and i'm quite happy with him. I've experimented with a few variations, and the only other one that I was even remotely pleased with was TC/Heavy Gunner. Knowing the exact grid location of all enemies within radar range is quite the compliment to those long range cannons.

All I have are:
1 Grenade Launcher with Flares (for offering light to my squad and marking my location in case I am under attack).
Am on a nice speedy tank tread so allow me to get around pretty well but also remain quite well armoured :)

I got an inverse joint TC/sniper. He has a speed of more than 100, can't remember exactly the speed. I have the xbox live sniper rifles on there, and the most expensive rounds I can buy that do the CE heat. I figure a TC ain't really a front line fighter and will only engage from a distance so as not to be attacked. I figure on adding the long range thermal vision (700 meters) so I can see those well camoed guys.
