Sonic has a show of weakness?

WTF was going on in #192 where Sonic was hesitating about "joining" scourge's side? he's going to join that annoying weasel? never in a million years.

A lot of things are going though his mine. Scouge just showed how easy Sonic could take over his world, but won't. Sonic just going mad.

Interesting. If this is what I think it will lead to I may take back some of the critism towards the past few issues, in that it was a clever build up to:

Sonic becoming a VILLAIN. Think about, the hedgehog has been through A LOT in the past issues. He's been of poor participation in missions (either getting 'worfed' or having 'tainted victories') to the point he feels he has let down his friends. He has also conflicted with the council and rulers on occasion (King Acorn practically poo-pooing his past heroics). Being physically and mentally chewed out by his best friend (and if you want to go really far back, his ex girlfriend) probably haven't helped his self esteem either. It has come to point that he may wonder 'with friends like me, who needs enemies'.

It may also link to Knuckles' past trauma. I could see him actually being the one to bring back Sonic's faith, thus restoring his own as he will now perfectly understand the situation of guilt from hurting people both from his own and a friend's perspective.

It may not nessessarily be Sonic becoming a villain, maybe just something playing with the notion of him turning evil, similar to how everyone (almost uncharacteristically) thought he had deliberately roboticized himself in Mecha Madness).

I like the comics actually, but If they ever tried anything like that, I would hope that SEGA would cancel Archie's licence to make Sonic comics ever again.
