it seems this is the first of a series of videos. maybe the next chapter
will go more into detail about Beast Rider's gameplay and background.
but the game is coming in like 3 weeks, so I would imagine the next
video may come as soon as next week maybe.
very interesting stuff, and this is the first time I discover who is the
creator of Arcade Golden Axe. very rich history.
ya know, everyone may be positive or skeptical about the game,
but I think the devs see this more than anyone else, maybe
they are like "the general consensus says that a lot of people are
negative about the game", so I guess they felt why not release a video
to start introducing why Beast Rider may in fact be a good game?
yeah 80% of the video is about the original, but then it hints at
what they are doing with Beast Rider.
the video is labeled chapter 1 so I think chapter 2 will give us a better
idea what manner of being the gameplay will work (the earlier gameplay
at the expo I think 2 months back, is nothing to go by, since we haven't
even seen how deep the movesets are for each weapon. as well as
how the level design will be like for this game.
if there is a HUB, or
if it's a linear progression (they use reimagining word a lot, plus they said
this isn't simply Golden Axe sidescrolling hack n slash in 3-D (there was already,
in fact a 3-D old school Golden Axe, it was released in a PS2 Sega AGES
collection. it had Alien Syndrome remake too.)
so yeah there may be much more to this game than people may think.
but yeah, so far it's hard to grasp how it all fits together (level design-
wise, story progression-wise and combat moveset-wise.)
