Hello Fellow Users,
Since the Sonic Forums are a high traffic area, and that some users rarely venture into the Sega General Discussion Forum, I will; for everyone's benefit, provide a link to the General Rules and Guidelines

While you are visiting the forums, we ask that you take a few minutes of your time to check over the Rules and Regulations, and help make the forums a better place for everyone. Please note that updates to the General Rules and Guidelines may happen with and/or without notice, so it may be worthwhile to check every so often.
Thank you to the users who have taken the time to read the provided rules.

Greetings Fellow Sonic Fans,
It has recently come to the attention of the Moderator Team that spirits have been running a bit high in various places such as the Sonic forums. We appreciate that while people can get quite passionate about our favorite blue hedgehog at times, we'd like to give you all a friendly reminder of the rules in order to help make the Sega Boards a much more enjoyable place for everyone.
One issue we have noticed is too many off-topic posts. Important information is posted every day and we can spread the word about Sonic and his friends more easily when everyone stays on-topic. If you post a question that doesn't have anything to do with the topic at hand, it's okay. However, if you repeat such questions just to annoy others, we will edit the thread to keep things on track. Cutting back on spam alone would help us in so many ways, and we would greatly appreciate it.
Everyone has different opinions. It is to be expected in any community, on or off line. If your opinion differs from someone else's, please express it in a calm, courteous, and rational manner. Please refrain from demeaning, vulgar, or hurtful remarks at another user's expense. Insults and personal attacks can ruin the fun for everyone.
Please be advised, while the above rules have been added to address specific issues on this forum, we haven't outlined everything that you can or cannot do. We respect the members of this forum to know what is right and what is wrong and will gladly assist when things get out of hand. If you have any concerns with the boards, you are more than welcome to contact a Moderator or Administrator and we will help you to the best of our ability. Let's all remember to relax and have fun. We're all here for the same reason, to have fun and talk about Sonic!
In regards with the Sonic Time-Attack Forums, there are some guidelines put in place. It is respectfully requested that you not use this forum for discussion threads. Unfortunately, any discussion thread in this forum may be deleted without notice. It is also requested that you use an existing thread rather than creating a new thread. If a new thread is required, it is requested that you copy the information from the old thread, and cross-reference (link) the old thread to the new thread. For more information, please refer to the links below.
Your Moderator Team would like to thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Hi Guys,
The Moderator Team is currently in the progress of providing a more "user-friendly" explanation of the rules system. They have been posted above this message and we would like your feedback. Please use the link included in this post, which will take you to an open "General Rules and Guidelines" thread, which will allow you to post feedback.
And feedback in regards with the "rule explanation" above would be greatly appreciated.
