It replaces the old Burnout Running / バーンナウト ランニング game in JoyPolis.

Just like many of the rides in Eggman Planet Park (2010's Sonic Colors' orbital theme park).
It cost 500 Yens for 1 ride.


This is basically an update of the game with Sonic theme and a more 'family friendly' look.
Singles though should look elsewhere, since the JoyPolis do not recommend it to them.


The codename for it seems to be "Athletics",
and it is part of the "SA" codename (just like 2013's Shining Ark).
The 'Athletics' part seems to be also shared with the mid May update of Phantasy Star Online 2.

A word of advice though.

Do not be too comfortable with Metal Sonic being in it.
He was used as a filler, since that the new character still has not been revealed yet.
He was also used as a filler in 2010's Sonic Free Riders.

As for Blaze. She might or might not be in the next update.
Since at that this point, her character might have been too old.
Plus, they do not seem to get a good look for her in her highlight banner.

Silver? Oh, he is pretty much safe. SEGA have a thing for hedgehogs.

Of course there seems to be 2 extra lines on either side of the ride.
So they can introduce 2 more characters, without removing any current one.
Unless they have more new characters to introduce, and the series is long overdue for new ones.

Of course this thing is usually updated in around 6 months to even up to a year,
with the fastest update is probably around in 3 months.
But then again, Burnout Running has been in use for quite a loooong time. ]]> Space Colony Bark
