The wait for next-generation consoles will soon be over and according to Ubisoft, gamers will be eager to adopt the new platforms. As part of its latest earnings report, Ubisoft said the eight-year wait for new consoles has left gamers "starving" for next-gen platforms.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in prepared remarks that gamers today want to express themselves without limitation, noting that new platforms for Sony and Microsoft will key in on this to their benefit.

"We live in a world of self-expression. Everywhere, everyone is creative and wants to add value," Guillemot said. "Customization, or curating, is a huge growth area across all services and that holds true for games. People want to play in their own way, they want to define their own experience and they want to share the way they're playing."

Sony has announced that Gran Turismo 6 is in development for the PlayStation 3 with a targeted released window of 'Holiday 2013'. The President of Polphony Digital and creator of the franchise, Kazunori Yamauchi, made the announcement today at an event celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo at Silverstone in the UK.

"I'd like to announce today that we are developing GT 6 for the holiday season this year on the PlayStation 3," he revealed. "The game engine will be renewed for GT6, we'll be cleaning it up, making it smoother for the future.
"The rendering engine will be completely renewed for GT 6, there will be a revamped Physics Engine, new suspension, tyre and aerodynamics modelling. We'll have 200 more cars than Gran Turismo 5, with 1200 available at release. More cars will be released after launch, too."

All cars and tracks from GT5 will be preserved. It will launch with 33 locations, 71 course layouts of which 19 will be brand new, and additional sets of new tracks will be released every month via DLC. There'll be a new course maker, and players will be encouraged to create their own racing communities and championships.

The people from Koi-Nya.net were able to have an interview with Tales of Series Producer Hideo Baba during Expomanga 2013. Though they haven't posted the entire interview just yet, Baba-san had apparently dropped the info that a possible Tales of Symphonia: Perfect Edition for thePlayStation 3 - which would basically be an HD remaster to include both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

This is, at the moment, a RUMOR that Koi-Nya managed to get from their sources. Though they wanted to confirm it with Baba-san, he wasn't in a position to confirm it, but he mainly said that "This is a representation of the hopes and dreams of fans who have long been asking for it." Also, that we should hear about it soon.

Also part of the rumor is that, if this Perfect Edition ever does come into fruition, we will at least be seeing it released in the West... and that (RUMOR!!!) "Tales of Xillia 2 is getting localized."

Again, these are all still RUMORS that need confirmation.

Baba-san apparently gave a whole lot more info in their full interview, which they'll post in a few days, so stay tuned.
