Yeah, I'm hearing that the PS4 hardware is supposed to be more powerful than Xbox One's, and for a lower price.

Perhaps. Another problem SMS Skull Leader mentioned was that when the servers were no longer supported after the Xbox One's lifespan is over, the Xbox One games can't be used anymore, since they need the online access to be activated. If that's the case, it doesn't sound like a good investment if I know I'll eventually be forced to not use them anymore. All the money poured for entertainment with the console would just be wasted.

Doesn't look like it's working so far, given all the backlash it's receiving. Don Mattrick even went so far as to say to Xbox fans without internet access can just go with a 360 during an interview. That just poured gasoline in the flame.

So out of desperation, they're trying to hit many audiences by supporting many media. Is that what all these radical policies have been for?

I'm not so fortunate, as I do have an Xbox 360, and know quite a lot of people on it, so departure from the Microsoft brand is kind of of a difficult decision for me. If I get a PS4, I'd have to start everything from scratch. However,Microsoft's decisions are also currently making departure feel somewhat easier because of their alienation, but neither decision is 100% for me yet.

They also go to emphasize so much on television as well with Xbox One. From what I've heard, you just plug it in to your DVR. I thought it was gonna act like a DVR, so what's even the point of all this? So I could get more channels?

I'm kind of thinking that too. I want to play a Halo 5, but given how I kind of think they went in a bad direction concerning Halo 4's multiplayer by taking some aspects from CoD, I'm still kind of uncertain if the multiplayer for Halo 5 will be good enough. Even so, one franchise doesn't seem enough to motivate me into getting an Xbox One. I also want to play Battlefield 4 on a next gen console since there's supposed to be a greater amount of players in a single game , but I could just get a PS4 for that since it's cheaper.

Another thing is that I'll be attending college soon, and I'm not certain I want to dedicate money to maintaining a gold membership on a console with so much restrictions and bad reception just so I have the ability to play online, which I might not even be able to use much.

I see what you mean. You're wanting the Wii U to offer new games that offer much more different experiences in comparison to games you could get on the 3DS, but you can just stick with the 3DS in the meantime.

As for me, I was considering getting an Xbox One, but all the policies and behavior from Microsoft and their employees have been making me rethink it. The conditions of the Wii U and Xbox One are making me consider getting a PS4 as an alternate choice, and a potentially safer one too. Besides, the Xbox One sounds way too expensive for me, and I'm not sure I want to spend $499.99 on a console that sounds so restrictive, along with maintaining gold membership.

Is that so? The games they're currently planning to release don't feel like enough to you?
