Glad I am immune to it then...someone tried to do that to me on here when I was a newbie! Luckily I was insulted when he started mocking my new friend on here also (I still talk to this guy too), so I blocked the guy as he was being a right idiot (he's from the UK too), and being way too patriotic for my tastes (met a few extreme ones where they either try to pressure me into their way of thinking or get rid of me as I don't think like them....it sucks since it means they are very closed minded).

I am very upset with this person really...enough so that I blocked them from almost every outlet.

Well yeah, but I mean on a more personal term in my case.

I known this member for a few years to realise the sudden changes....they spoke with this dude for years also...but I find it very sudden that they suddenly want to IM just because these people have told her to.

This is more of someone influenced by someone else and it doesn't suit them at all from my experience with them.

If they like the dude, then fine...but if I am called an inferior friend through a very small reason then I will draw a line in the sand and be done with it. Especially when they've done it mostly to themselves.

Yep, most are awesome when they don't pander to the male demographic.
