I haven't ever played Sonic Free Riders before, since I don't have a Kinect. It seems most don't really like that it required Kinect, though, because they don't like how the game controlled. What do you think? :)
Well, that's cool you like both of those games so much. :) And you're right, Sonic 06 is the only game in this generation to have Tails playable solo, which is a definite plus. There is a lot to like about both games, for sure. :) I'm wondering, have you played Sonic Adventure 1 and 2?
Sonic Unleashed is pretty good, overall, I'd say. The speed sections, where you just play as Sonic, are pretty fun, and the Werehog stages are just okay. I haven't beat the whole game, yet, but it seems pretty good, overall. You have to collect a certain amount of Medals, which are scattered around all the levels and Hub worlds, in order to advance to newer stages, and that gets a bit old after a while, I think. The story is fairly good, not great but better than Generations and Colors. So overall I'd say the game is okay to good, but not great. Other playables would have been nice, though. What are your feelings on those two games? :)
Well, Sonic 06 does have more bugs than most Sonic games, I think, and the gameplay for Sonic can feel clunky and slow, at times. The loading times are pretty long, and there's a lot of them. I do like how the game has a deeper and more involved story, but it does have some plot holes with it involving time travel, and all. The game does have lots of playables, and some play better than others. Although Tails is playable in 06, he has a pretty small role in the game. So, overall I would say 06 is a game that tried to be great at a lot of things, but doesn't really execute well on a lot of it, and it makes the game suffer.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on the Wii U already made me want to get the Wii U, yet Sonic Lost Worlds does push that further.
I currently lack a Wii U, although I think that I'll have one around the end of this year.
I'm excited, and I find the picture of it to look rather nice!
Want to know my thoughts on those games? :)
Yeah, I've played both of those games. :) Have you?
That is a good point, and I suspect the same will be said for Sonic Lost World, when it's all said and done. Yeah, I really believe Sega made a mistake doing this deal with Nintendo for three exclusive Sonic games. The circumstances with the exclusive Sonic games for the original Wii were different, as the original Wii was a bit cheaper than the Wii U, and was much more popular sales-wise. With Sonic Lost World, there really is no reason it couldn't be made available on PC, 360, and PS3, as they are all capable of running the same games as what's on the Wii U, graphically, and they all have a much larger user base than the Wii U has. But what's done is done, I suppose. Hopefully Sega will learn from this.
