I can't help notice that you're defending pretty much every aspect of the One, a bit rich after going off on a rant about the Wii U's inability to play DVD's.

Exactly. The PS4 and Wii U are like apples and oranges. The One is like a slightly rotten apple, that's somewhat redundant because of the existence of the PS4.

They haven't, but they said that you can lend your friends games if they have access to your account. Used games bought at stores are still going to require a fee.

Maybe I'll see what it looks like in a decade when 4K TV's become affordable.
