The price seems alright, but I'd shop around for some better deals. I converted the £399 price to CAD and it was $710. I found a Samsung at a Canadian store for $550, which is £310

this will sound like a stuped question but what is the major diffrence between 1080i and 1080p setting and is 720p the lowest setting?

I did some digging, and you'll have to take a few minutes to read about the 1080i/p - http://hometheater.about.com/od/tele...80ivs1080p.htm

As for resolution... I think the lowest is EDTV, which is 480p. Any lower than that is SDTV.

don't get a 480p TV  unless all you plan on playing is the Wii, get at least 720p for the 360

1080p is negligent this gen. Barely any game runs it native.

you'd be hard pressed to find a 1080p (or 1080i tv) at 26 inches. even harder at that price. during boxing day the place i worked offered the 32 inch v4000 (sony) for £319. slapped on my staff discount and i got it for £289. i could have gotten it for cheaper if i'd got it earlier, when that silly james bond move came out it was on offer for £299. which translates to about £269 for me. bargain of the century...

The only thing you will find at that size at 1080p is a monitor.

There's no point for 1080p at 26 inches though
