    Default Novus Resource collector too cheap

    When playing, it feels like the Novus resource collectors are far too cheap. I only need 3 to support my economy for the entire game. With the hierarchy, I usually need at least 5 reapers, and the reapers cost more and are harder to defend.

    What do you guys think?

    Not really. Reapers are expensive because they are far more mobile and give you instant resources (even when draining a building). With Collectors, you have to wait for them to get back to your base and so on. Hopefully pathing and intelligence will be fixed in the patch for both units, as currently they are incredibly stupid.

    The reapers mobility is as much a weakness as an advantage. They are much more difficult to defend when they go run off to random places on the map. The Novus resource gatherers have instantaneous access to any resource pile on the map if you have a decent flow network and they can easily be protected by defensive structures in the safety of your main base.

    Reapers can protect themselves a bit as well. And reapers are supposed to be hier's weakness.
