Default Running to avoid a loss

Basic scenario: I destroy my opponents base, but I don't win the game. I look around the map and find nothing, when suddenly a dot appears on the minimap. I go there and see a figment in dark mode, and try to destroy it, and my opponent drops a mine on my units and flees. He does this every time my units find that same figment until the game crashes. I think he was just moving that figment around a lot and keeping it with DMA so I would get tired of trying to catch that unit and quit, giving him a win. Can there be some sort of fix for this in the patch?

Change the gameplay mode to Conquer instead of Annihilation.

that isn't always possible, and I think its also possible to do this in conquer with an architect in a sentry.something needs to be done about running so annihilation games can be finished as well.

That's the point of Annihilation... Architects don't count I don't think in Conquer but Conquer mode was being addressed.. how, I don't know but it was mentioned a while ago that they were looking at tweaking Conquer and Annihilation.

I've almost won three games with one single figment in light mode and just dropping mines near units and structures. I think that should stay as a perfectly fine strategy. I've also almost won a game with just victor/mirabel and vertigo.

    This post is stupid.

    1.) Play conquer
2.) If you play annihilation, and you've killed his base, then just LEAVE. There's no ranking yet (or ever in custom matches). There's no record. There's no nothing. If you know you've won, JUST GO!!
3.) If you ignore options 1 and 2, and you somehow can't kill one last unit (hint: try using a different type of unit to finish it off if one isn't working) then you probably deserve the loss anyway.

As for figment mines... can you say "fun?" I love those little buggers
