If PSO isn't the best MMORPG (which it isn't) then it is sonic team's fault not gamecube. PSO doesn't emphasize online community, it is repetitive, and obviously the game regularly updated to keep out hackers and cheaters. You have to give sonic team props for getting thousands of people to go out and buy an online adabter for a system with no online games. PSO beats many online games just doesn't beat other MMORPGs. At prime time new release sport games hardly ever hit the hundreds in players.

You make it sound like I don't like PSO. That is far from the truth. I do like PSO, it's a good game, it's just very limited. PSO would be a lot better if it had more than just 8 areas and more of a storyline. To me, it would seem that PSO is more of a glorified chat system. A simple chatting environment, with a simple yet challenging action-adventure game system built in. Kind of like Internet Pool or Chess, but more entertaining.

However, PSO is very weak compared to other MMORPGs out there, that is just a fact. I've already stated the reasons. Please don't be in denial about the subject, because it is the truth. Why else do you think PSU is going to be PS2/PC.

As for Double Dash, I'm aware that it is lan capable. In fact, it is possible to go online with a LAN capable game, but this requires a broadband connection and a broadband capable PC as well. There are programs you can download to treat your computer as a server or connect you to a server for your gamecube through the PC. Many devoted Halo fans did this with the first Halo and basically created a cross-country lan-party. However, Nintendo noticed that, and for some reason, decided not to use LAN capabilities in future games, such as Metroid Prime 2, the Zelda multiplayer games, and so on. Also F-Zero GX is not LAN capable.

    No LAN Play for F-Zero
Correction: the game's producer denies earlier NOA report.

July 7, 2003 - Sega today corrected an erroneous statement, stating that Nintendo's long-awaited system link feature would not be included with F-Zero GX after all.

Though a spokesperson for Nintendo of America earlier today confirmed the feature, Sega clarified that the feature was intended to be in the game, but will not make it after all.
Jointly developed by Sega's Amusement Vision and Nintendo, the GameCube sequel will let four players race against each other in split-screen mode only. Though Sega wanted to showcase the full-screen versus feature at E3, the company decided to instead use the development time on tightening the single player mode.

Nintendo showed off its networking feature first with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! at the E3 expo in May. Given the niche appeal of off-line system link gameplay modes, don't expect the feature to be a big focus in Nintendo's upcoming titles unless the company decides to push online network play via third-party apps in the near future.

    More as it breaks.

Again, there is only one online game for the Gamecube, PSO (Two if you cound PSOep3 and 3 if you include PSO+, but PSOI&II and PSO+ are basically the same game, and anyone who owns episode 3, owns one of the other two, so technically, still just one game) LAN games can go online with a little tweaking, however, most Gamecube players don't bother with it. Double Dash didn't hit as big a popularity as the original Mario Karts did. I think Smash Brothers is probably the best multiplayer game for the Gamecube, however, no LAN, sorry.
    PSO Character:
    Khris - HUnewearl - Bluefull
    FFXI
Niname - Hume - Valefor server

A miniscule wave that comes to be can spread its ripples to the whole. Phenomena change with every moment, just like a drifting wave.

Ok to fix the many grotesque errors I have read:
    1. The slim PS2 doesnt have a hard drive and is full of glitches and is basically a piece of (insert word of choice that infers that the PS2 slim is bad). I know since I've seen its glitches at work and the same glitch was in 3 separete PS2 slims.

    2. The Nintendo Revoultion is launching at $200!!! And the PS3 is launching at $500!!! Seriously come on. Also, the Revolution, like the other next consoles (at least i think) will have a few online games at lauch, including a new SSBM.

    3. Double Dash HAS NO ONLINE PLAY. I bought the game and unlocked everything, checked every single option thingy in the game and checked the instruction manual too.

    4. PSO (at least Episode 1 and 2) is very addicting, even if it is a tiny bit repetitive. But only a tiny bit. And that bit goes away once you start to do stuff with other players online.
If you need help, I'll help. If you want to battle, I'll battle. But whatever you do, don't touch me. I ooze coolness and its not pretty when an uncool person trys to obtain some of my coolness.
